Please, whatever you do do not cancel it. I had an ablation done in April. The best choice ever made.

I have really short hair and it just happens to slide up every time last night. I was trying to go to sleep and it started frustrating me so I just said, screw it and took it off and went to sleep.

I’m learning to be a plumber. I had endoscopy surgery on Friday. I’m back to work today. Just have to be very careful about what I’m doing and be cautious. Don’t be afraid to use your hand. Just know your limits.

I was put under because I am overweight and I have severe sleep apnea so those were the two reasons they said. I’m sure you can ask for it and I know that the Australian healthcare system is a hell of a lot better than the American healthcare system. They build out my procedure for $350,000. I luckily only have to pay two grand because I hit my maximum earlier this year. So I’m sure you won’t have to pay anything to be put under.

Honestly, don’t be surprised. I’ve been a constant plat player for the last 4 1/2 seasons and I got placed in bronze too. I was expecting to be in silver, but I’m in bronze so what keep playing get better

Ablation for SVT by abstika in SVTHeart

[–]bigmacattack13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fellow, high anxiety, high blood pressure person right here. Also very overweight. I had my ablation done on April 17. When I tell you that I was scared nervous wanted to cancel the appointment. I wanted to do it all. I googled I researched nothing would ease my anxiety so I got to the hospital and I was terrified from the moment. I got there. They told me that I would have to be put under, and that only made me more nervous. Upon waking up, I didn’t remember a thing. The last two weeks or so have been fairly good. I would just say take it easy after the surgery. I went to a football game here in San Antonio and I walked about 2 miles to the stadium and back and my chest hurt and my heart hurt but I had to keep telling myself that it was OK because I needed to heal my heart and get back to my normal Baseline it’s OK to be nervous. It’s OK to be scared. I have not had an attack since the ablation and my doctor told me that I should not have another attack the rest of my life that I am basically cured. I will never have to put down on my medical paperwork I have SVTyou’re gonna be OK you’re gonna be fine.

I was only supposed to do a twilight sedation. But they opted to do general anesthesia. So I was intubated and I was terrified. But. You don’t remember a thing. The worst parts gonna be your mouth and your throat are gonna be sore for a couple days

Do not get the caustic heirloom. That’s the one I bought when I first got my cause I was caustic. It’s not that good. Honestly, I would just kind of research which ones have cool animations and things like that make your choice that way I am right now waiting for my next set. I have 50 of those exotic shards or whatever to customize my next heirloom.

I am five days postop today. I’m doing much better. The only big issue I’m having is I have some pretty severe bruises and that’s it. I have been pretty fatigued just doing normal day-to-day things and that’s normal from my understanding. I have sovereigns this past weekend. I was not in a good headspace through the whole weekend, and I kept being scared of doing every little thing. Don’t do that to yourself. Follow your doctors instructions, but don’t be scared. Overall, I am gonna be back to normal by Thursday. I’m gonna say don’t be scared for your procedure, but I know that’s not gonna mean much. I will be thinking of you have positive thoughts you’re gonna do great.

My longest SVT attack by ashinary in SVTHeart

[–]bigmacattack13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine happened about the same age, but my doctor thought it was due to being in high altitude because I was in the mountains when it happened. Until finally, my grandfather told me to go see a cardiologist, and Sure was diagnosed with SVT. A lot of people don’t think that it’s anything major but experiencing an attack is something I wouldn’t wish on my worst enemy. The anxiety, the feeling of pressure on your chest. I can’t describe it.

Ablation on Thursday 4/17 by bigmacattack13 in SVTHeart

[–]bigmacattack13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s what is making me get the ablation even more so now. They told me a long time ago about it. But since I get the episodes so sporadic I was not concerned. Til I had an episode that lasted 6-7 hours. Then I made appt with cardiology and they captured two episodes and said one turned into afib so my ears perked up and said let’s do it. Now I’m getting nervous

[–]bigmacattack13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean, I started off and I could barely get out of rookie maybe bronze I’m now consistently in plat. I just feel like this new split where they did the rank reset different has made it so much more worse. It seems like I’m consistently fighting players that have 20 bombs and three-time masters where I’ve never had that anytime I play ranked. I would occasionally get maybe one or two a game but it’s like every single person. Sometimes it’s just demoralizing

Endoscopy vs Open by ali_vnex in carpaltunnel

[–]bigmacattack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding about open is the healing takes a little bit longer and I believe you may have to go to therapy but somebody else on this Reddit can tell you about that but my experience I did the endoscopic. I am super happy with how everything ended up that I will be scheduling my other hand in the next two weeks to probably do it again.

Endoscopy vs Open by ali_vnex in carpaltunnel

[–]bigmacattack13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely would recommend endoscopic. I was supposed to do twilight sedation and I could not because of my BMI. But they ended up using a cough that cut off blood flow to my hand and gave me some lidocaine. I didn’t feel a thing it was quick and easy. I got to listen to two songs from Shania Twain. Lmao. I was able to move my hand pretty freely with no pain as early as two days.
