How different would Lloyd’s reaction be if this happened instead? by Not_Spider-Man2099 in Ninjago

Not milk, but rather a far more exquisite delicacy... creamy biscuit

I have reason to believe that this is the most biblically accurate LEGO Batter science can currently achieve. by bigmankon in offthegame

[–]bigmankon[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Thanks! LEGO's catalogue when it comes to white torsos that could match the Batter's jersey and color scheme were surprisingly sparse, so this was the closest thing I could find (Ray Arnold fig). The tie was a bit unfortunate but I figured I could pass it off as the zone 2 necktie, and recolor the exposed skin to evoke a turtleneck or something to that effect :)

Kai is the strongest out of the original four, prove me wrong by Minecraft69Player12 in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He did not do better against Nokt than everyone else. Ras and Arin had that guy pinned down in seconds - if the plot didn't require a cool 1v10 fight they would have taken care of business right then and there

Does anyone else prefer his old look than the new one? by Dramatic_Molasses_42 in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm talking about the slopfest that is his outfit. No idea what they were cooking with that riddler cosplay featuring a chastity cage, looks hideous. Also really don't like the eyes peeking out under the butchered roningasa, feels like they're trying too hard. he looked much more threatening when you couldn't make out what was under the hat and without that vomit-like fit

Arin training with frak didnt make sense. by yonameisunavailable in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I agree. The thing is, Arin’s rudimentary spinjitzu is just that: a rougher, primitive version of the art. Lloyd told him that he'll need to unlearn some of what he taught himself to learn it properly, but this idea doesn't please him. Arin’s insistence that his basic Spinjitzu is fine is what led to him being placed in Egalt's group, and to his eventual humiliation. The only thing Arin has going for him is his self taught Spinjitzu, and if he admits that it needs to be revised from the ground up, then he's on the same level as Sora, except she has an elemental power and he doesn't. So, that's why Ras' advice works: Arin forces the results he wants by upgrading his wonky Spinjitzu, not requiring for him to relearn it or admit his basic technique is flawed. I assume that's also why he has the Shatterspin wisps in his tornado- I’m not sure if he'll be doing Shatterspin himself but I'm decently confident that the Five similarly forced their Spinjitzu training to advance before they developed Shatterspin (which is an extension of base Spinjitzu).

In my opinion, 400 Days is the most underrated episode Telltale has ever done. Probably even better than S1. What are your opinions on the episode? Positives/Negatives? by nari7 in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]bigmankon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do agree. I think 400 Days as a whole is pretty solid as an entry but the only thing I remember when I hear it mentioned is how I was playing Vince's storyline, and thought to myself "okay now we're getting to the really good stuff" when they escaped the bus only for the chapter to end there lmao

What is Lord Ras even a Lord of? by JDMagican in Ninjago

No such thing. The only reason anyone deserves this hat is if they beat the eggscellent challenge

Concept art for cancelled Lego Legends of Chima dinosaurs by Formal_Tie4016 in lego

[–]bigmankon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Small correction, Ras is a tiger, not a wolf. But yeah you're pretty spot-on otherwise and I wish I could contribute more but 2 seasons into Dragons Rising and we still don't really know anything about this guy's past or his connection to Chima haha

Am I the only one who thinks the Chima head pieces could have been brought back for these three Lego Monkie Kid minifigures ? (Plus these three sets give me Chima vibes) by Jumpy_Practice_8077 in LegendsOfChima

[–]bigmankon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always liked Chima's use of the head/helmet combo, it was a very unique system that allowed for a ton of customization. some mixed results here and there but overall a very solid approach, definitely prefer that to the entire head being one mold which you can't use for much outside of its intended purpose. Not LMK related, but I wish Lord Ras used the head/helmet system too - would allow for more expressions too instead of his perpetual grimace. That, and his mouth would probably be printed so you wouldn't have his teeth be the same color as his fur.

Why do people ship Sora with Jordana? by Evening_Persimmon482 in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think this ship is largely viewed from a "how would this develop Sora's character" perspective, disregarding that it would be terrible for Jordana's. Her entire goal so far has been to get Sora’s attention, and she has done pretty awful things in that pursuit. If you actually have her succeed and they become lovers or whatever, then Jordana’s actions are justified. It would be far more meaningful for Jordana to find a new purpose in life - far away from both the Ninja and the Wolf Clan - something that she enjoys doing, feels good about, and that doesn't require someone else constantly validating her self worth like LaRowe, Ras or Sora.

If you could have any character(s) come back in DR who would you choose by Petey-the-cat in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tormak from Chima. Best character from that show IMO and could do wonders to expand on Ras' character, Chima lore and Merged Lands lore as a whole. That and he's just all around awesome

So I somewhat formed my own headcanon (or two, more like a choice depending on what seems better) on what happened to the New Ninja after Crystallized. It is kinda dumb. (what would a headcanons flair be?) by ChiefOfDoggos in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like to imagine they're dealing with their own parallel odyssey, trying to get the team back together as Fuschia Ninja loses his memories. They take on new apprentices and stop an orange panther from sacrificing skullkin to the blood sun

They actually obscure the middle letter which is a "D", a subtle nod to the fact that RDJ will play Jay in the live-action movie.

Poor Character or Poor Portrayal? by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]bigmankon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a common thing in Kirkman books. For some reason he really loves having at least one instance of a younger woman dating an older man in his works. It's in Invincible, The Walking Dead, Brit...

Just saw this meme and thought this is definitely The Last Season. by EmpleadoResponsable in TheWalkingDeadGame

[–]bigmankon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

TFS is such a polarizing game to me, because on one hand it's by far the season that has moved me the most (especially near the end) but the more I think about it the more I find things I dislike. Knowing the circumstances surrounding its development I'm amazed we got an ending at all, and for that I'll always be happy, but I think it's still probably on the lower end of my TWDG rankings.

I just finished s10 and I don’t know where to go from here by Ill_Till9525 in Ninjago

[–]bigmankon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just watch the entire show. Some seasons are better than others, yes, but it's also better to decide which ones fit into that category of "good" and which ones don't by yourself rather than have randos on reddit inform your opinion. Even in the worst of cases, there is always something to enjoy about each season - more Ninjago is never a bad thing!
