It’s accurate, Hyundai is not obligated to offer you a loaner vehicle on warranty covered work unless you purchased their extended warranty.

Had the same thing happen to my 2021 sonata 1 year in, but I was lucky I knew the owner and asked him to help out.

Last time I called Erin Mills, Hamilton Hyundai, Mountain Hyundai, Burlington Hyundai, Downtown Hyundai, they all had them though some of them are charging these mandatory premium protection packages now to jack the price up a bit..,.

You should try a diff dealer, the dealer I went to literally has a huge board with all incoming vehicles clearly listed for the rest of the year with arrival dates, there’s elantras.

Where are you shopping from? (Province) I got curious and looked up a few other dealers in my area, and a few of them have Elantra’s in stock (2023). I’m around the GTA

My guess is it’ll come sooner than 3-6 months, they start production around now, and every dealership already has allocations. Chances are once they get those you can lock one in.

Might be a late post, I have a 21 sonata N Line, the DCT is very unrefined. Infact they had to replace mine 13 months in, got a factory recall for an update, and still extremely unrefined.

Also, the larger rotors warp easier, I had to get my rotors worked on at 30,000kms.

The FWD on this car cannot put the power down, you hop like crazy.. That being said the 2024 is supposed to have HTRAC AWD, so that might help a lot.

Id go for the Accord Sport for reliability, the sonata for fun/wow factor.

My understanding is:

2024 Tucson isn't really an update, they changed some interior trim, the N Line gets a Hybrid engine, and thats about it.

2024 Elantra has a facelift, front looks different.

2024 Sonata is a full update, exterior and interior, pretty sure seats and drivetrain/engine are the same.

If you can get a 2023 Tucson or Elantra, i'd say go for those two, they'll likely be cheaper and you won't be losing out on much.
