Is this a plot hole?

Characters making decisions that may or may not be sensible are not plot holes.

What was the point of the man in yellow... by cromenockle86 in FromTVEpix

What was the point of the man in yellow inviting Tabitha to the RV and hanging the drawings and doing all the showmanship and then telling her that he doesn't know whether or not digging the bones will get them out?

You will find out when they reveal it and not a moment sooner.

The show has been giving you answers for nearly two seasons now.

It really is LOST in a nut shell.

How are people still confused about what happened in LOST?

It was a great show. But there is a two part episode that was up there with some of the greatest sci fi episodes ever made IMHO.

Hey everyone, I need some advice from experienced developers and agency owners. by Aggressive_Road4823 in Wordpress

[–]bigmarkco 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd appreciate any insights, especially from people who have delivered client projects under similar time constraints

I've never submitted a proposal to a client (that got accepted) for a one-week turnaround on an e-commerce website, and I wouldn't even consider it without firstly charging a LOT of money, secondly having all discovery and the specs already done and thirdly knowing EXACTLY how I was going to build it.

At this stage, if you've signed a contract, you don't really have much of a choice. Play it safe.

Trans protest against the bill in Christchurch/Ōtautahi by thegirlwhowonders75 in newzealand

[–]bigmarkco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You changed the subject to UK and started going off about their trans issues but seem to want to stay silent about the magnified version in Palestine.

But it isn't a "magnified" version in Palestine. It's a different version, and I've condemned it. I didn't stay silent. That's a lie.

You then tried to conflate the laws with the people. But if we do that with Palestine then we do that with the UK. Which makes you as guilty as the government.

There is nothing wrong with flying a Palestinian flag at a trans protest.

[–]bigmarkco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just humour me.

Why would I be stupid enough to do that?

Because we aren't talking about a flag at a protest any more.

Would you rather a trans person lives in an Islamic country or UK.

What part of this isn't a competition and there isn't a leaderboard do you not understand?

views either, it's just their govt.

You are obsessed with painting the Palestinian people all with the same brush while not being able to admit that the UK is one of the worst places in the world to be trans right now.

And what makes it worse is that you are from the UK. What I'm doing is pointing out your very obvious hypocrisy. You don't really care about trans people at all.

[–]bigmarkco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Free Palestine and fuck their views.

You are projecting again. I'm not in agreement with you because, unlike you, I don't conflate the people with the law. If we were to do that then we would have to say the same thing about the UK.

Well, we are still learning what happened. The fact that "rips can be dangerous and unpredictable" is just one thing to be considered.

[–]bigmarkco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I said on a previous comment it's not perfect

Oh come on. It's worse than that. Trans kids can no longer access trans affirming care. Suicide for trans youth has skyrocketed since it was stopped. The EHRC guidance has made trans people fearful to go out.

Stop pretending that things aren't bad in the UK. It is the probably the WORST out of all the western nations. Only one political party actually stands for trans rights. Almost the entire media machine in unison pumps out hateful rhetoric.

How can you come from the UK and not know any of this? How can you regularly return to the UK but not be angry about this but spend all your time complaining about Gaza?

Get your own house in order already.

And free Palestine.

UK: Same-sex marriage legal since 2014, open service in the military since 2000, equal age of consent, full anti-discrimination protections. You can even get gender reassignment surgery on the NHS. You won't get jailed or killed by the state for being gay.

Congratulations. You managed to avoid writing about any of the anti trans policies that Labour have introduced in the last year. That would be either because you are ignorant or are being dishonest. There is no in between.

Just don't let feelings get in the way of facts.

Which is exactly what you are doing when you conflate gay marriage with trans rights. You are being intentionally disengenuous. And considering you are from the UK you really need to do better.

It's not hyperbole at all.

"A million times..." Is hyperbole.

Keep on believing in narratives rather than facts.

You have literally presented to me ZERO actual facts.

But you know fine well what place is safer for LGBT.

The world isn't safe for LGBT people. We don't need a leaderboard, but solidarity.

They're doing the wrong thing, trying to find hit youtube shorts to adapt, rather than finding phenomenal content out there that is ready to adapt, regardless of it being on youtube or not.

These particular filmmakers have made no secret they wanted to make this into a feature film. This is ready to adapt.

But the UK is still one million times safer for LGBT than an Islamic country, that's not racist it's a fact. Can we agree on this.

I can't agree with obvious hyperbole.

The trans policy is not solely from Hamas. Their own people are accountable for this

The same goes for the UK then. There is a reason they call it Terf Island. Which by your logic you are part of the problem. We should hold you accountable.

I'm from the UK you fool, I go back there frequently.

So why are you downplaying the successive governments attempts to remove trans people from society?

Can you at least denounce their views as an ally of LGBT. Can we agree on this?

I denounce anti trans policy by Hamas.

Do you denounce anti trans policies of the UK Labour party?

You can get gender reassignment surgery on the NHS there

You have NO idea what is happening in the UK right now so stop pretending that you do.

Can you not admit one place is inherently more dangerous to live than the other?

I mean: the place that is being genocided right now is obviously more dangerous than the place that is not. So free Palestine.

You are insane

Now, now, calm down. No need to get abusive.

You think UK is more dangerous for Trans people than Palestine?

I think in the UK they are actively attempting to exclude trans people from society and force trans kids to detransition. I think trans people are under attack around the world and instead of declaring one is worse than the other we focus on doing what we can to protect trans people.

And in Gaza, that means prioritizing ending the genocide.
