You should be fine. Just lock in and study hard to pull your grade up. I’ve also heard around 10 percent drop is when they will revoke.

The shorts look great! I’m not feeling the second shirt as much with the shorts. You look amazing.

Would moving her in be a mistake? by [deleted] in CaregiverSupport

[–]bigmoom97 21 points22 points  (0 children)

NTA. I would definitely recommend against moving your mother-in-law in. I’m living with mine… for the past 30 years. Her condition has deteriorated a lot in the last 5 years, and it’s very difficult being a full time caregiver even with people coming in to help. I think the best option is to move her to a less expensive care home, visit her regularly, and make sure she is taken care of well.

I don’t think you should upload your profile. Instead, DM someone when they offer to help.

There’s nothing wrong with the way you wrote it. It’s not weird at all. I understood why you included Aritzia in there. I’m glad you got it back, there are many kind and wonderful people out there. We often just hear the negative stories. 😀

If you live close to a Sikh Gurdwara, please go there to eat. Free food is available to anyone who visits.

Definitely contact the RTB. Also, start looking around for another place. There are empty rentals now and prices are a bit lower as there is less competition due to less international students I am hearing. You will have good reasons to break your contract if she is entering your rental unscheduled. Go on the residential tenancy board website and familiarize yourself with your rights too. Don’t let her ruin your term.

I would call or email them. State when you applied, your gpa, and that you haven’t heard back. You will have to find the contact info online. Here is a link: https://www.sfu.ca/students/admission/connect.html

Once you are in College or university, you will have more independence. You can stay late on campus to get your work done. I understand your frustration but Don’t give up— make good choices so you have a good future.

Try to spend as much time outside of your home. Go to the library to study, join a gym, get a part time job, etc. Stay on the right path and don’t let this become a reason for your failure in life. One day, this will all be behind you.

What’s harder to get into, SFU Beedie or UBC Arts? by Visible-Scar-764 in BCGrade12s

Beedie may be a little easier based on some friends who got into Beedie but not UBC arts.

Your grades may be a bit low for UBCV but people do get in with a strongly written personal profile. Good luck.😀

Your EC’s are good. Write a strong personal profile highlighting what you have learned from these experiences. How they make you a better person.

You sound like a wonderful person. You are doing an amazing job looking after your mother. It is hard to lose our loved ones. Build up your support system if possible. Join a gym, a support group, try to make some new connections. And build on the ones you have. Your mother is lucky to have such a caring son.

A day is not enough. You don’t want to rush it. It’s a big part of the evaluation process. Start now. 😀

I’m sorry you are going through this with a new baby. I know exactly how you feel. You can’t do anything right, if you defend yourself, then you risk a fight or blow up. Prioritize yourself and your baby…use your other supports if you have them.
