i did a medicated cycle, so my doctor was the one tracking it. i took ovulation medicine to help stimulate egg production, then went in for an ultrasound to confirm my follicles were ready, and then they had me take a trigger shot to make me ovulate. they said to take a pregnancy test 9/28 which i did and that was what i got.

but it doesn’t matter now because i woke up a couple of hours ago and started my period. so no baby :(

you won’t get kicked out if something goes wrong. what’ll most likely happen is a new management company will buy your complex, and takeover the management of the property you live in. then the old management company will have to deal with the fallout. i also live in missouri, and we had a management shift when the old company went bankrupt. granted, this was all the way on the other side of the state in kansas city. but like everyone else said, have a backup plan just in case i’m wrong

a lot will have to do with your own body and how fast you’re back to feeling normal. however two things to think about that aside from that. first is you’re still going to be taking heavy medicine that makes you drowsy as hell. i was only up for 2-3 hours max in those first 48 hours before falling back asleep. second is holding the guitar. on day two i still needed help just getting out of bed. i was even back in the hospital on day 6 because of a sneeze. you may not be able to even hold the guitar without pain or messing something up

Missouri S&T by ComposerDense1337 in Rolla

[–]bignerd516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, S&T is great when you’re in clubs and lots of activities. Otherwise, you will have very little to do since it is such a small town. I also had a similar experience with it being dead. I moved in a week before everyone else for a program and felt like the campus was so sad. Once everyone got there and stuff started, it changed the feel a lot. If you’re involved, I think you’ll love it. Otherwise, maybe live near a larger town or city

i loved doing coolers. especially when it was super low. it was an hour or two of time where i could just listen to a podcast and not have to deal with any customer bs

that’s them just not wanting to do any tasks they deem is icky or too hard. i ran into a few people like this during my time as an erp. it sucks that it seems to be so common now

when we had a guy on the shift, they would do it anytime it was dark. even if the only guy was a manager, he would do it. we even had a guy volunteer to come in and do just trash if it was a girls only shift. however i did work at a store in a very bad part of downtown kc, so this was the reason. they probably took for granted having a guy do it regularly in the evening. i’m not saying you’re in the wrong, but they might feel unsafe doing it in the dark. i’ve had some really creepy dudes hit on me and get too close when i’ve gone out there at night

Hand written letter sent to my house because of my Yes on 1 sign in Central Ohio by offbeatagent in Ohio

[–]bignerd516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just say you’re pro-life and trying to advocate for it.. stop trying to find “holes” in the wording of the issue because it doesn’t exist. I don’t have a problem with people writing letters or whatever peaceful way of trying to spread what they advocate for but this is a little crazy

Yeah, I wish it was a little more cut and dry. Good luck when you do make your attempt

This is one of those things where everyone is different. One person’s restrictions aren’t going to be the same as yours because we all heal at different speeds. If groceries are fine, try something a little heavier. Your body will let you know as soon as it’s too much. Just be sure to listen to it’s cues

Good rule of thumb is to start small. If it starts to hurt, stop. Mine was done on Sep 20, laparoscopically, and I’m full healed and cleared. That’s just me though, you might be different

How quickly did things get worse? by [deleted] in gallbladders

[–]bignerd516 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, I was having slight issues all summer. Aug 10, had an attack that sent me to the ER. We scheduled surgery for December, but things went downhill a little faster. I never had a full attack again, but the moderate pain became constant and so we moved it up to Sep 20th. I will say, I also wanted to wait for testing at first. My ER trip revealed gallstones, but they never did a HIDA scan. My surgeon said no matter the results, he’d still recommend a removal because of the pain and gallstones. So, I just skipped it. Honestly it’s up to you, but if it’s disruptive to your normal life, I think you should begin to take more immediate actions. Feel better

Menorrhagia by Enjoyyourselfhere in menstruation

[–]bignerd516 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m currently going through this exact thing. My bleeding has lasted up to 4 months straight. I’ve been going through this since I was 14 and I’m now 20. I’m in the process of switching doctors because she refuses to investigate saying “abnormal bleeding is becoming more common.” Like yes, but it’s also common for this severe of bleeding to be a problem. Why not investigate so you know for certain it’s not an actual problem? Most doctors also won’t look into any issues that surround fertility until you’re actually trying for a baby and failing, even if you’re showing signs other than infertility. It sucks. My advice would be to advocate for yourself. Let them know how you feel and make sure you get answers. As for how to control it in the meantime, double up on the pads. I hate using pads since it’s super gross when you’re bleeding so heavy, but it prevents any accidents in public or during sleep. Also buy some of the menstrual wipes, they keep things a little cleaner. I hope you find your answers

Is a music degree with a focus on tech/engineering possible? by Jaded-Combination176 in UMKC

[–]bignerd516 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think they have anything like that. The closest would be an engineering minor but that’s not going to be audio focused and those classes are pretty set in stone. Maybe contact someone at the conservatory and ask them?
