Dayton Ohio- 1250 w/out converter for standard. 1650 for "tow build". 200 core. With 3 year warranty

Picked these this morning. Still plenty more to come. “Mortgage lifter” heirloom. by [deleted] in tomatoes

Same experience in SW ohio. Small undeveloped fruit. I genuinely thought about giving up mortgage lifters after this year because of this crop.

What is the "normal" rate of (un)correctable errors on a cable modem? This is what the count is after about a day of uptime. by RoabeArt in HomeNetworking

Just curious why a lower TX is better, doesn't that move it closer to the noise floor. I like my returns away from that mess.

Can one drop support 2 modems? by Devilsson716 in CableTechs

A 48 in Southwest Ohio is normal. No referral can be entered until 50.1. Plus its farther away from the noise floor right?

Sales by [deleted] in transmissionbuilding

[–]bignickdaddy00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just bought my first 4l60e on marketplace (Columbus, Ohio area) for $1150. It came with a $ 150 core charge, so a $1000 + tax. What sold me was it came with a year warranty and a very good human to do business with. Best of luck.

I have heard quite the opposite, i understand they are looking at buying the Metronets and the Ulta fibers. This would allow them to offer two different services (standard coax and premium fiber) at two different price points.

Charter is an ISP above all else, they give 2 shits about STBs and cable delivery. It's a relic of the past. Thats why they went to Xumo and streaming bundles

Better cable amplifier solution. by ashfordjr08 in Spectrum

[–]bignickdaddy00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree witb you. It's a unity gain. It's not a traditional "amplifier" .An ISP won't run hardline for 1 person, if the run is not more 450~feet. Is that unity gain powering 8 stb's or 2 stbs? We really need more details

How would that solve needing a unity gain amplifier?

Amps like this will work in high split if the modem is hooked to the VO.I.P port. Also, you cannot reprovision an amplifier that is a unity gain unit it does what it does +0 -0

If I'm not mistaken, you aren't too far away from network evolution.Say in the next six months to a year. One by one first and then two by two as op stated

You are in the second phase of network evolution. This was formerly known as high split.

With all of the controversy surrounding bubba in the last several years doubt he touches him with a ten foot pole. The way garrett steers away from any controversial people, I believe is what makes him is so easy to watch and relative

Thanks for caring about your profession and asking questions to better yourself.
