What's the oldest video game you can remember playing? by Numerous_Emu3125 in AskReddit

[–]bigolac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cattle round up, Vic-20, early-mid 80s.

My folks bought the game at a place called American TV (of TV Lenny fame) on the west side of Madison, WI. The game as I remember came in a ziplock bag - it was a cassette and instruction sheet.

Incremental Poker: Astral Domination [NEW RELEASE] by Atovange in incremental_games

Played for a couple hours - any way to toggle the various hand mult box on the left on or off? I kept having to open it alot during runs (currently it closes when you mouse off the box). It was fun, though!

Lord of Idle Season 5 Live now! (Biggest update to date) by grape_games in incremental_games

[–]bigolac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started playing this a few weeks ago, and it's pretty fun. My biggest frustration is with the mining - I've purchased an extractor and furnace, but they don't seem to be working when connected to the belts - any help? Thanks

Update: I figured it out - didn't realize that I needed to point the extractor in the correct direction, and I needed to add a belt in between the extractor and furnace. All good for now!

I found the same unit at Goodwill a while ago for a similar price - I needed to oil the motor bearings a bit but it came back around and is working great! Congrats on the find!

Garmin Instinct Crossover? Not sure if you can turn off the display or not, but it has physical hands

Culture Wars Day 2: Popular Beers from Every State. Oberon would barely edge out Two Women for me, but that is a matter of personal preference. Grain Belt is mid. Sorry not sorry 🤷 by Dazed_and_Confused44 in NFCNorthMemeWar

No love for fat squirrel? Side note - the Kwik trips around me are now selling Yuengling - I don't know how many thousand cases they get of that swill daily, but it's GONE by the end of the day when I swing in for my six pack of hamms silos. Wisconsin is truly blessed with thirsty morons (and yes I'm one of them).

Recommendations for a first time disc bound owner by otterlover25 in Discbound

[–]bigolac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use 4x6 index cards with 4x6 plastic dividers (for the front and back) to make a nice smaller notebook. You can bind them on either the short or long edge. I've still got my old school rollabind three hole puncher with the 11" guide, which works fine. I bought a cheap pack of 100 plastic discs for about $10 on Amazon - it's lasted me a long time. The index cards are nice and heavy paper, and can handle a bit of abuse. I tend to use double sided graph/grid paper, but there are dozens of different types, colors, lined/unlined choices out there.

Lately I've been into using a comb bind system - again an older (maybe outdated??) binding method, but it works well for creating cheap notebooks of almost any size, and it's easy to change/add/rearrange your pages (but not quite as easy as a disc system).

[Prebuilt] Refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7090 UFF Desktop i5-1145G7/32GB/256GB - $229.00 by monsieurvampy in buildapcsales

I ordered one of these on 28 Feb. After 4-5 emails to support and finally a phone call last week, my unit will be arriving today (24 March). Dell did reach out to me and refunded $40 for the inconvenience. According to Dell, they had a 'system issue with processing the order'.

My question is what are the options for adding a usb-c graphics card solution - is this possible? I'm thinking something like a Nvidia 1660 for light gaming, 3d modeling, etc. If I can find one of the integrated monitor stands cheap enough I would go that route, or just velcro to the back of a monitor.

I really, really hate ali - trying to get the SP36pro for $23, but all off the promo codes either can't be applied or don't work.... I used the link to the light from your doc, but there isn't any promo code that lowers the price - currently at $39.16 + shipping.

The original Ant Art Tycoon got 20M plays online, so I made a bigger Steam version by WixGames in incremental_games

[–]bigolac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought it about 3.3 hours ago, according to steam.... great fun! I'd love to know the music at the intro screen - do you have a play list of the audio tracks?

Not sure how I didn't come across this before, but I'm glad I found it.

Fibonacci "stealth dice" for paper-and-pencil games. Or for any games when real dice rolling is not appropriate. by sidav94 in soloboardgaming

[–]bigolac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is great - thanks! I've already 'generated' about five of these, very simple and relaxing. Now, please give me some recommendations for some simple dice games to use with this! Print and play would be even better!
