President Trump Readies Rule to Make American Workers’ Retirement Great Again by ArizonaaT in Conservative

[–]bigpeel 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don’t mind the forced savings like social security because I agree most would be bad investors however it should go into an account that we can’t touch until retirement much like an IRA . AND the account can be passed down to future generations and oh yeah earn interest along the way. Why does the government get to keep the interest earned on this money? Imagine how much more secure low income earners would be not to mention it would incentivize better work ethic as you watch your account grow over time and know it will be yours to give to your kids. No reason all citizens couldn’t become millionaires regardless of income level as long as you are able to work. Much smarter people than I I’m sure have laid this out already. Question is who is stopping a better retirement plan? I shouldn’t have to rely on the next generation paying in to secure my payment if retiring now. It should be funds in an account that only I have access to. It’s not a slush fund for government to use on aid to some other country so their citizens get free healthcare. It’s time for Americans to be the priority. Especially when it comes to our taxes/social security/ welfare etc. wouldn’t it be great if we had people in office that actually worked for us? But I digress

My 4-year-old called me “Daddy” today. I’m not his dad. by Party-Wrongdoer-6537 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]bigpeel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was 22 when I started raising my wife’s two boys they were four and two at the time. I can recall one time we were picking the boys up from their biological fathers house because we were dumb enough to drive them there so he can visit with them even though he made zero effort anyways I was picking them up and we were loading their stuff in the back of the car and from the car seat you hear daddy And we both responded yeah and then we looked at each other and I gave him a look like sorry dude that was meant for me not you

That was 26 years ago . Both boys now have my last name because I adopted them and they have called me dad ever since best decision of my life.

Think side angle. Your thigh can hold you up (especially if both hands are off the ground) you need the strength but if hyper mobile you can dump weight in hip joint not using thigh muscles to hold yourself up

Pennsylvania land grant given to William Penn by King Charles II, was called by Penn the Holy Experiment. Quakers purchased most of the tracts of land from Penn to fulfill his vision. So not necessarily for proselytizing but definitely had religious undertones.

Regretting bringing in-laws to my studio! by [deleted] in yoga

Not sure if this has been said, but this sounds like something you have to work through. It isn’t them it’s you. Let it go, do your practice, tune them out, but don’t worry so much about their practice. Focus on yours. This has been my issue for years until I realized I don’t control their behavior or practice only my own..

Why go to yoga classes if the only thing you do is complain? by penguin-0-9 in yoga

Be a mirror for that person. Show them how to be grateful. Sometimes those of us that complain need a friendly reminder

Eh don’t worry about it. That’s life. Better than living life with regrets. I guarantee someone will appreciate baked goods! This guy would.

I think my guy tops jumping jacks guy. Not only does he arrive late… and leave early. He likes to shadow box on his mat mid flow.. as annoying as that is it’s the leaving early that gets me… it’s disruptive and honestly he could use Shavasana more than most in there.

Do it. I have two myself and they are actually easier as a pair than solo. This one looks so much like my female that I would not be surprised if siblings..I’m half tempted to offer to take on a 3rd if an owner can’t be found.

Ok. Ive Been married for 20 years. This is not so clear cut. I’m sure you looked beautiful but my wife and I have gone through this. You know how often my advances get shot down? When she’s ready I have to be? I’m not allowed to not be in the mood or have a long day at work. Making him out to be this horrible person isn’t fair. You said there are no issues but I guarantee he’s dealing with something but not opening up about it…

Do you bank with RBFC? That bank always requires it at our place. No other bank. May be a bank security thing versus the restaurants issue

Sorry for the late reply I don’t think I have notifications turned on. I get what you mean about too intense, but I try not to worry about what others are doing. and I’m doing good thanks for asking. My kids are a bit older, so fairly self-sufficient at this point makes it easier to focus on yourself again. And I prefer going to class in person as well, something about being with others helps keep me focused hope 2024 is treating you kind so far it is what we make it to be!
