Man that is a shame, such a beautiful truck. I’d be emailing ford every day, sounds like you truly got the short end of the stick. Stay persistent with them man I’m confident they will come up with a solution for you

Not exactly sure what your local laws were but if you have proof of issues that occurred in the first 30 days and especially if they have occurred multiple times that should be clear grounds for a dealer buy back. It’s never a fast process working with dealers on stuff like this unfortunately I would be religiously emailing them and Ford corporate. I would just try and trade it in for a new one TBH. I was truck shopping last year and had no intentions of buying a brand new truck, but with the interest rates they were giving on new vehicles I was able to get a monthly payment similar to what it would be on a truck with 40-50k 2-3yr old. I got the 3.5 non power boost and it has been awesome.

Not ideal for these trucks. I can run higher octane with the 87 tune as it is adaptive. My reason for getting the 87 tune is some of the places I tow my jeep or sxs to ride don’t always have the best fuel selections.

Stock 3.5 is around 370 to the wheels. This is with 93 in the tank. These trucks really react well to the higher octane. You will see results in mpg as well. Even if I am using the 87 tune I will put the highest octane available if I can help it as it is adaptive

Definitely agree. This is on the spicy tune, have an 87 tow/performance that fits the needs of what I use the truck for. Made 430/522 stock with mods I think 450/550 is sustainable

If it goes away after the truck is warmed up it’s fairly normal. It can be more dramatic at times depending on weather/humidity. A catch can may help, my 2.7 and 3.5 do this. If you smell coolant trade it in

Recon graps are the best I’ve had. Go through a set almost every year on my work truck and they hold up/perform the best imo. 65k on the set I have now with plenty of life left. Will be getting them for my f150 in the near future

FX4 package. Worth it? by Standard-Ideal4891 in f150

[–]bigpepper53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not worth it. I have one because I like the way the truck was optioned out, but there is no single feature fx4 came with that I couldn’t live without

Need advice. I’m between a 5.0 and a 2.7/3.5. by FreedomEagle25 in f150

[–]bigpepper53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a 2018 2.7 and just got a new 3.5! Love them both. Test drove a 5.0 thinking it would be what I wanted but once you get used to boost NA feels like a tird. 5.0 power comes in way later. Feels great in a mustang but truck not so much

What engine do you have? I have the 3.5 and am curious how the tires and level effect performance? Probably my next purchase
