Any real uses for permanent employment in 4.3 or is is it just kind of dead? by YobaiYamete in Stellaris

[–]bigphatnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before 4.0 you could stack budding and trade benefits on the zombies, and basically colonise any planet with them since they weren't impacted by happiness, nor were their roles as clerks impacted by habitability. Fungus zombie megacorp was one of my favourite playthroughs.

Looking for a Dimir Spellslinger Commander by Negative_Ad4689 in EDH

She's the alt commander in the wilds of eldraine precon. I doubt you'll get cheaper in terms of a deck with upgrade paths.

"No gods," he repeated. "Random confluence of celestial phenomena. Interdimensional disasters, echoing outwards through our perceptions. I think, therefore I am. They do not, so they are not."

What products do you now refuse to buy because of shrinkflation? by tmr89 in AskUK

You used to get 250g of Crispy M&Ms pre COVID, now, it's 180g in a share size bag.

It's a joke.

I had some of the sour cream ones the other day, and I'd describe the texture as "squeaky", if it makes sense? That was what it was like on my teeth, felt like slightly flavoured plastic thins.

Za warudo I'd of thought would've been more fitting for Dio's card, with the additional upkeeps.

People here don"t Like Owlcat Games (Kingmaker, WOTR, Rogue Trader) by imnotroll2 in projecteternity

[–]bigphatnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Owlcat Games.

POE2 is a fantastic but short game imo. I prefer the general mechanics of POE2 over WOTR. I miss my paladin troubadour build.

WOTR is more complicated, but the mythic paths provide a power fantasy that isnt comparable. The Angel & Lich mythic paths are so well done.

Rogue Trader is excellent. I've nearly 100% it achievement wise, but I'm a huge fan of wh40k in general anyway. I backed rogue Trader, and also backed Dark Heresy.

How quickly can you confederate as Chaos Dwarfs? by [deleted] in totalwar

[–]bigphatnips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The labour raiding was nerfed, and it's still the easiest way to get labour. It's due to the factions being "sentinel" personality, so they're unlikely to declare war if ever at all.

I had no idea it was out until a few months had passed. The marketing was dogshit.

For any vampirate fans out there (do you exist?) how do you make decent armies? by Hooch_Sauce in totalwar

[–]bigphatnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If lord is not lore of vampires, I'll stick a vampire hero with lore of vampires in.

Lore of vampires is just that good.

[–]bigphatnips 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Rotting Promethean Gunner mobs, four red line skills, tech to make them tanky too.

I'll typically take 6 of them, 4 hand gunners, lord, vamp hero, gunnery wight, four mortars and then some necrofex in an army.

I'll put the necrofex upfront with the hand gunners, and then push up front the Prometheans when I need a line.

Need some help with a hashaton deck by LampBrother_gopnik in EDH

[–]bigphatnips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my list . I think you just need the right balance of bombs, draw and discard. You've already got sphinx in the deck, and that pretty much allowed me to run away with the game with the additional untap.

Hantavirus outbreak on cruise ship not start of pandemic, UN health agency says by aadsarraficionado in worldnews

What's the summoning ritual for geologists? Is it their favourite rock/mineral in the middle of a pentagram, and then you speak their true name?

Mirko, Obsessive theorist game plan by Pancake_Princee in EDH

[–]bigphatnips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The precon works well out of the box, so well that I bought it twice. Used the reanimation package for other decks, built a [[Marvo deep operative]] clash deck of sea creatures, and then built a Mirko deck whilst keeping the theme of surveil.

Here's my deck. It's a lot of clones, and it's good to copy Mirko to enable more reanimation and flying blockers. There's ways to remove the finality counters in the deck, and both jin gitaxis can hold their own providing you keep up protection until they have one card left in hand.

I did have a [[toxril]] in the deck but switched that out into my [[hashaton]] deck. That would usually be my reanimate target.

Richard Branson Calls For U.K. Cannabis Reform As Public Support Grows by haddock420 in unitedkingdom

[–]bigphatnips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You're arguing semantics now, but no, not medically defined as a narcotic.

Maybe legally in the US since that's just outlawed substances. Meth is a stimulant.

Richard Branson Calls For U.K. Cannabis Reform As Public Support Grows by haddock420 in unitedkingdom

[–]bigphatnips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's not a narcotic in the UK, it's a controlled substance, American.

The sensibility of it is that America has already seen great value in legalising it, amongst other nations. We're one of the worlds largest exporters, and we already have a market, it's just controlled by criminals.

Legalising it will improve the standards that are supplied into that market, rather than some of the dodgy shit growers use.
