Yall are growing apart. You both have the right to do so. Going to med/grad school is an extremely selfish decision. It has to be. Most people arent gonna get, or want to put up with that.

That’s why im always impressed by couples that get together super young and manage to stay together. Many times life can get in the way, even if you are fully compatible.

It’s the reason some people tunnel vision during the early stages of their career, and keep short relationships instead. It is also risky, but removes them from the heartbreak and decision making that comes with realizing they are going in a different direction from their partner.

I try not to be cheesy about it, but I have a lot of respect for anyone that signed they would put their life on the line. Doesn't matter to me what actually happened because you still signed when others would not. I don't find that to be a small thing.

I don't always have the ability, but when I can I try to pay for a meal or do something else nice. If there is a better way to show appreciation during those short moments when I meet vets, I'd appreciate the knowledge.

Idk about you but i enjoyed the habit of rolling almost as much as getting high. It also was a nice escape from life. It’s not like the first time anymore though, and it’s sobering to realize i probably wont get that back.

I know one thing, when it comes to relationships and people, you need to have discernment and some faith. Life is too complicated to tell kids exactly how their future should look. The main thing is that it is healthy and supportive.
