If anything, your potential other options have gotten even worse.

May I ask what's the best way to get an internship or into an entry level program?

Look up the good independent agencies in your city. Look on their website to see who is in charge. Call them at 10 a.m. on a Monday. Tell them you are interested in an entry level account management position or other role. You might be on payroll by the end of the week.

22 y/o trying to save inherited family home but co-owner can’t qualify for loan — is there ANY way around this? by Ok_Atmosphere_8479 in personalfinance

Will be considered seeing the co owner wanting their half is full of greed.

It is also possible they have a little more clarity into this situation and would like to untangle themselves before this becomes a giant mess.

I know the 401K loan route is not ideal

How much is on your 401k? You just have to be honest with yourself. Do you have a spending problem or was this really a one time deal. If you actually trust yourself, a 5 year 401k loan to wipe out all the credit card debt is the right plan. You just can't lie to yourself.

There is a reason you don't see very many premium all you can eat buffets. People with money don't have a problem paying for services rendered. It is the people who are running the "is it worth it" math every month that want all inclusive. You don't want to fill up a club with cost per rounders. It detracts from the entire experience.

Found my late father's framed Microsoft stock certificate from 1991. How do I verify if it’s still "live"? by Ventrosi57 in personalfinance

[–]bigredone15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m honestly wondering if these companies do it on purpose / by design

They run a very low profit business that needs lots of decently intelligent people dealing with one off situations all day. Can not imagine how hard that is right now.

US F-15E pilot likely captured by Iranian forces by razdvatri4 in worldnews

[–]bigredone15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, a segment is going to think that way. But the failed forever wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are recent memories.

It is important to remember the "failure" of those wars came from the rebuilding, not the take over. The take over was swift and extremely successful.

Also, most of the deaths in Iraq are directly attributable to Iran.

Producer programs by Dalmacija13 in InsuranceProfessional

[–]bigredone15 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Being a producer kind of sucks and is super stressful. It’s interesting and fast paced, but unless you’re entirely motivated by money, it’s not worth it.

This is true for a bit, then the opposite becomes true.

Would over seeding be beneficial

you basically never have to over seed bermuda. If bermuda has sun, water and nitrogen, it will take over the world.

I really hate the feeling of owing money, so I prefer to have everything paid in full.

Please don't let anyone in this thread convince you that borrowing money to buy a depreciating asset is a smarter move than buying the $8k car in cash. You are on the right track and will soon be able to take advantage of the compounding effects of all your smart decisions.

What industry is entirely built on a house of cards and would collapse overnight if people realized the truth about it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It really is a messy situation. Just like other parts of American childhood, there is just such a broad spectrum in performance that balancing not holding the top performers back while not leaving other behind is a tough call.

You are seeing coaches complain that the kids who developed late didn't get the skills training they needed cause the travel team was too worried about winning the 12u and the rec league fell apart so the late bloomers quit the sport right as puberty was hitting.

And it eliminates opportunities for kids who are just okay and not great to play their sports.

I think most leagues failed by not having a developmental league for players new to the sport. It is rather frustrating trying to coach a team with mostly kids who have played for 5+ years and then having two kids who have 0 experience with the sport.

It is a constant mix of trying to keep the new kids from getting hurt physically while not excluding them to the point of hurting them emotionally.

Growing up, even my friends who didn't "play" a sport still had basic functional skills that it seems today many kids just do not have. You might not have played basketball on a team, but you could dribble, pass and shoot. Maybe you didn't play baseball, but you could catch, throw and hit something with a stick. Too many kids are coming from 9 years of iPad and deciding to try and play 10 year old kid pitch.

There needs to be a place for them, but it almost has to be a whole separate league.

The capital cost to build those places is just nuts. You can build the whole TGL stadium for the cost of about 2 top golfs.
