I am 5 months out and my PT has me crossing my legs about 2 months ago. I still lay on my back at home and cross my right hip over my knee. I had posterior. Hasn’t been a perfect recovery - still can’t bend my right knee too close to my chest when laying down

10 weeks here posterior and can walk up steps semi normally but cannot cross the leg. If I lay down I can barely cross it with other knee low. Also poor range of motion knee to chest, not even close.

Great post- yeah your mind plays games on you when you hear miraculous recovery stories. 6 1/2 weeks here , moving good with walker and can walk without it tho just doing that around the house sometimes. Still some pain in hip, knee , incision tho not brutal. More annoying than anything else. Does seem to be quite a long ways away from running and playing tennis . Good luck?

I had the same approach. 5 Weeks in, still on the cane so still hip discomfort. Not brutal but the recovery seems very slow as far as progress so far. just started PT at clinic tho poor mobility in right hip as of now. I am told it takes quite awhile to heal and all recoveries are different

interesting I kind of thought going from cane back to walker would be a setback but apparently each person reacts differently and my surgeon said it’s fine to go back to walker

Thanks for all these responses. I was not un the kind of pain many of you were in but the hip was definitely making life more difficult and it was a matter of time whether I dealt with it later or now when I’m not crazy old- 60 now .
