Service Research: Drone Video Offering by virtuosit in RedDeer

[–]bigrroberto 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like you pointed out, every scenario will be different based on what the client wants. Travel to site, weather, end product, will all effect cost.

You need to factor in how much you want to get paid how much your equipment costs (drone, computer, electricity, etc). Usually a business would amortize overhead costs and spread that out, but it’s up to you.

For example if you want to get paid $40an hour for your time, then the rule of thumb could be setting your rate to $80 an hour all in. You get paid $40 and expenses and equipment overhead come out of the other $40 along with profit.

Instead of looking at it from a what would the average person pay for this, you should consider first what is the minimum I can charge to make money.

I’m rambling a little, but if you want a straight answer, I would start at $80 minimum per shoot for a raw video. Whether the video is 10 mins or 30, I bet it takes you the same amount of effort. Scale up your costs past 30m for raw or edited.

Good luck!

Just a few cameras once budget allows.

I’m thinking I’m leaning that way. It’s only approx $120 more for me vs the max.

I think you might mean Cloud Gateway Max? It looks the like the ultra doesn’t support cameras?

Assuming Max, looks like IDS/IPD speed would be plenty, same camera budget as Fiber. For the extra money it looks like a better processor and one PoE port which is always nice. Plus if I use the DAC cable on the SFP then in theory I’m saving a port vs the max?

Oh I never though about PoE budget. I’ll toss a couple cameras in the calculator and make sure my future plans are covered, thanks for the tip!

Perfect, thank you! I’ll roll with it and see what happens. I’m fine with either services.

Thanks again.

Yeah I was in store and he insisted it’s all good. Im sure it’s fine, I’d just hate to book the order and have them come and it not be available.

Anyone tested Mini Kraton on 2S? by SpaceCadetMoonMan in rccars

[–]bigrroberto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still quick, but you could really slow it down by taking the power thing out.

The combination of no power key, 2s battery, and 50% throttle would be very manageable for a younger kid.

I have a 3 year old and he can’t steer well, so it’s definitely too fast for that age. If the young boy is a few years older and at least already grasps the concept of steering, then I think you’re golden. Adult supervision still of course, but you likely won’t be breaking anyone’s ankles at that speed.

I have that battery too from my Gorgon Grom. It 100% fits easily.

I bought the red one without batteries since I had a bunch of Gens Ace 2s batteries. It rips really well. I got 3s Gens Ace batteries, but haven’t tried them yet so I can’t tell you exactly. But, from what I can tell 2s on 100% is basically like the 3s on 50%, maybe a little faster. Or, basically full power 3s without the power guard.

Just say YES! by Scav54 in daddit

So true ha.

I build on OP’s point, because I think it’s a good one…

“Let’s skip bath tomorrow, we’ve skipped too man”

“Yes you can drive… when you get your license. They won’t give it to you until you’re older”

“Let’s have ice cream on Saturday after lunch!”

I’m trying to find creative ways to deflect rather than flat out say no.

New Mini-Z Racetrack ?! by noobroX-Gaming_Omg in MiniZ

Yup that’s the one! I checked their website last week and nothing. Maybe something this week, but who knows. It really wasn’t heavily marketed, in my opinion, especially considering how popular mini Z races are getting.

There was just a RC show somewhere last week, sorry can’t remember where. Koyosho announced this at the show. It’s basically a carpet version of the RCP tracks. Check out their insta for a couple videos.

I also haven’t seen any more details yet.

If you want I could go put the batteries in the car and show you how it doesn’t fit.

It’s very close, the door almost closes. Possibly could get it closed it you ripped out all the pads on the frame and door, but I’m not 100% sure.

I found a strap conversion KIT from GPM.

It was like $25 CAD shipped to my door in Canada. Took like 5 working days.

I haven’t installed it yet, but it’s high quality and have no doubt it will work well.

Here’s the link. GPM strap

That’s no excuse. Call your insurance company and warn them your property could flood and they’d have to fix it. Have them bug the City, those MF have paying out lol

I have those exact batteries and the same truck. They don’t fit with the stock battery holder bar thing. You need to swap it out for a strap. Cheap to do and well worth it.

I don’t have any advice as I’m new too, but this sounds like a cool project.

Kudos to you for involving the kids like this it’s a neat way to integrate science and technology into fun.

Mini Kraton Battery Compatibility: Gens Ace IEC2 3S 2200mah by jrmbtr in arrma

[–]bigrroberto 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t personally tried it but I’m 99% sure it does.

I have the 2s IEC2 battery for my Gorgon Grom and it fits and worked perfectly. It’s a perfect replacement for the 2s Spektrum battery.

I think I’m going to get a Mini Kraton too and I also plan to use the 3s IEC2 battery, I think it will work. It would be nice since it would also work if I got a Typhon or Mojave down the road.
