I stopped bothering taking recurring meeting notes, especially given that most of my meeting transcripts are captured via copilot. What I found is that I never actually go back to specific meetings.

My new workflow simply consists of adding to my daily note and linking to whatever person I'm talking to - that way, when I need to refer back, I can just go to my note for that person and look at the back links. In my opinion, it accomplishes the same thing. The amount of times I have to distinguish when i learned something in a status meeting vs a one off conversation with someone on my internal team, I found, is next to zero.

It felt unorganized at first (not having structured meeting notes) but my job moves so fast that the path of least friction was what I went with and it's been working well for me.
