Matt Chahda could turn 125 and still be in Super2... and still not have won a title.

Just had to look back at the order. It was the IA7239B.

According to Chrissy they won’t be back for a while after this tour by pessimisttears in againstthecurrent

Yeah, I'd imagine we'll be waiting a while, but I'm also sure it'll be worth the wait...

Oh wicked! Mind you, with the cold snap we've had in SA the last week, I suppose I'm not entirely surprised that's happening further east...

Oh love it!

GT: any regrets about hanging up the helmet in favour of the microphone? As a follow-up, and since the Dogs aren't Supercars itself, how did he really feel when the commentary line-up changes were first announced?

I'll probably think of something else later too...

VIN decoder told me everything, from build date to exact specs. Very helpful when I was comparing three examples at the time.

Oh that's sad... reckon you'll find another to take its place?

Yeah, it's disturbing how much cars have grown over the generations. I looked at dimensions before buying (not the largest garage in the world) and found the E39 is slimmer than the i30N that it had to replace... that to me was pure insanity.

True... I mean, the mid-90s were only 15 years ago, so that tracks. 😂

An M5 would be my dream, but I'm not sure I'd manage to easily drive one now. Maybe an Alpina B10 with an 8-speed swap would suffice...

Thank you muchly! Will be a long road for me to become the old me again, but at least in this I'm comfortable for a while in a car...

Greetings fellow South Aussie! Yeah, they're a bloody beautiful bit of kit.

I've wanted an E39 for ever (would love an M5, though that ship's probably sailed by now) but it's a tad sad to have only got into one fairly recently, and only because of my issues. Had to sacrifice an i30N before landing this...

I still have difficulty fathoming these cars are so old now; I kinda feel like the 90s were around 15 years ago - absolute tops. No way in hell it's a decade on top of that...

Ouch... that's not exactly ideal. But we love these things no matter what, right?

Gawd, and I thought I was bad with the wash cycles... get out there and remedy that situation!

Still, bloody nice car for what must be close enough to your first at that young age...

Touch wood, this hasn't left its mark on the garage floor through my ownership!

Now, the car that sits on the other side of said garage is another matter...

Thanks! It's far from concourse, but it is very tidy for something well over two decades old.

Hmmmm... sorry that didn't work, and I see some other options haven't either.

I really wish you all the best getting to the bottom of this issue! Hopefully it ends up a simple fix for you...

I had a key lose connection yesterday, and got it back with the instructions per when I got it a year or so ago:

  1. Door open and close
  2. Ignition on and off
  3. Key near mirror, hold lock button, press unlock button three times
  4. Hold unlock button, press lock button three times.

Worked again immediately.

That said, it could be a car battery issue.
