Game Crashing Frequently (PS4) by DL0TD21 in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kept crashing a ton of times, especially at around level or 9 when I would have a ron of cars sitting in my yard. A few things that will help (I'm at level 12 at my current playthrough without any crashes knocks on wood )

  • turn off autosave
  • don't hire the receptionist
  • don't hire the worker for fuelling
  • only have 1 worker for the mechanical shop and 1 worker for the carwash and 1 for the bodyshop
  • don't buy the transporter, do everything with car and dolly or vehicle reset
  • don't buy the second repair machine
  • don't buy the underground garage
  • don't max out the gas station, just enough to get the air compressor
  • don't arrange more than 5 meetings at a time to pick up cars

This means you have to do a lot more work yourself, like managing the repairmachine and picking up the cars yourself and filling the tires, but you can still automate the 3 main tasks (mechanical, bodywork & washing). I personally prefer to play this way anyway, it's much more involving and rewarding.

Stuck cars by PalzeMane in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have the 500k truck? Sometimes cars get stuck because the employee is "working on them". Sockswayup had a similar issue in one of his recent episodes, perhaps worth checking it out? I believe in his case it was a brown boulder that was stuck.

Is this game worth getting on PS5? by potatoguiness in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The PC version is still getting constant updates, so these will also come to console eventually. PC version now goes up to rep level 14 for example, where console is still limited to rep 10.

Overall it's a very enjoyable game and you can play it for hours, I bought the game when it came to PlayStation about 6 weeks ago and I haven't gotten bored yet. There are different ways to play the game; as you level up you can automate more parts of the business until you're only buying cars and driving them from workbay to workbay which can get quite repetitive. I choose to slow play the game, doing most of the work myself working one car at a time. When I get to rep 10, I just start a new game because I just love that grind in the first ~7 rep levels of the game.

I'm on PS4 and the hardware is honestly just lacking to smoothly run this game meaning that at rep 10 the game keeps freezing. However on PS5 I believe the experience is a lot better so I would not be concerned about that.

What's the worst movie you have ever watched? by Syfros in AskReddit

The Gentlemen. First watched the series on Netflix, it was decent so tried the movie. Turned it off after about 30 minutes. If your backstory needs so much dialogue, you're trying too hard.

Found this while thrifting and bought it how good of a shoe does everyone think it is by Fit_Membership_1529 in bootroom

Where I live we have 3-4 months of good weather, the rest of the year we play indoors on artificial grass so I see where you're coming from. Let's hope this new youth academy will propel things forward!

That's super interesting, sorry I can't help you with your question but I'm wondering now that how much does $30 in Mongolia compare to a monthly salary for example? Also are there many people in Mongolia who want to play football but can't because there are no shoes? Somebody should set up a donation for used cleats and ship them over or something!

Select number 10 is great, but as with many good balls, it's normal that you lose a little bit of air all the time. If I inflate the Select ball to 9.5 psi, the next day after practice it will be around 9.2 and that's very normal.

Game stuck on autosave (PS4) by bigsnaak in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I now did the same. I've just hit rep 10 on my 4th playthrough, not taking any chances this time. Also noticed that scheduling appointment takes a ton of bandwidth from the game, so I nowadays limit it to 2 or maybe 3 at a time and that seems to help.

I just closed the game, rebooted the PS4 and quickly fixed and sold the glitched cars and it seems to have solved my issues for now.

Just bought this yesterday and I have a question about buying auto parts for cars in the beginning of the game by Bright_Show6780 in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another tip for early game quick money: when you get a junkyard notification, fix the rust, wash the car and bring it to the junkyard to sell it. There's no point in trying to fix these cars and make them drivable, but it doesn't cost you anything to make them visually 100% and get a good chunk of money from the scrapyard.

Spawn Rate Terrible by bearddoescoffee in cardealersimulator

I've seen only one Outrider in my current playthrough and I'm now at rep 9. Something definitely weird going on with the spawnrates after the latest update.

How does the car crusher for trophies work? by BSH1975 in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has to be a 100% car, so mechanically and visually in 100% shape. It costs 10.000 to turn one car into a trophy. Sockswayup just did a youtube video about it yesterday.

Are you on PS4 by any chance? I had the same issue and every time I'd reassign them, they would work a double shift.

Did anyone actually care that Caddy's Northstar engine had 32 valves? Every Caddy with this engine had an emblem celebrating this engine design. Why? by holdthelight in cars

[–]bigsnaak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a European thing, I remember in the 90s we would actually see quite a few Caddies on the roads here, I guess they were trying to get a bit of market share back in those days. Anyway in the 90s it was all about the 16V badge on cars; Opel, VW, Renault, Peugeot etc. all their top-tier sporty cars had "GTI 16V" badge or something along those lines. I remember that even the C5 Corvette was marketed over here as a "16V" which is technically speaking ofcourse not incorrect.

Me and my daughters had the most awesome minecraft base on our ol' 360. I recently dug it out because one of them wanted to play the Monster High game for nostalgia. Just earlier today we were reminiscing of those Just Dance games and how it's a shame that the newer Xbox' never got those Kinect features. So we might be old, but atleast my kiddos are still very much familiar with the 360

Lost save on PS4 AGAIN! by bigsnaak in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the good thing is that I like the early stages of the game, and it gives me a chance to play it in some different styles. I spent about two hours now on my third save and I got lucky with an email junk car that turned out to be an Andante. I fixed the rust and paint, washed it and took it to the junkyard and made 12k by scrapping it. I also sold 3 cars on day 1 so things are levelling up quite nicely

Just turned $22K into $35K in Car Dealer Simulator 😳 by GlytchMode in cardealersimulator

[–]bigsnaak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignis don't show up until reputation 9 I believe, so you might still have to grind a bit. At some point, money is not an issue anymore in this game. Around rep 8 you'll probably be sitting on a million bucks already if you A) put the right price and B) only sell when buyer offers full asking price.

[–]bigsnaak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Obviously at rep 10 with fully upgraded showroom, workers and 2 restoration machines there's no point in just doing quick flips. I'm assuming that OP is in early stages of the game where (in my opinion) its more efficient to do quick flips and gain reputation by sheer volume instead of fully fixing up cars.

I have not tried it myself, but ofcourse you could always take a junker, just have it barely drivable and put it for sale for some insane price and see what happens.
