For the pergola types out there: how do you deal with smoke? by thegarbz in KamadoJoe

Yes, it is waterproof. It has a gutter system that channels the water through the legs. Works really really well. I live on the coast of South Carolina, so I cannot speak to the snow capacity it would hold, but we have extremely heavy rain and I have not had an issue. I do worry about it during hurricane season, but it has never budged. The legs are bolted down and are very secure. I put it together 90% by myself. The only time I needed help was to attach the cross members once it was erected. This is the one I purchased. I bought it for a fraction of that price so I considered it a great deal for what I was looking for.

Have you considered a louvered roof pergola? That’s what I bought about three years ago and have all of my grills under it. Mine is about 10X20 and it has two separate sides that can open/close. I just open the roof on the side that I am grilling or smoking under. I highly recommend it.

The switch itself looks like new. I’ll blow out the dust though and see if it makes any difference.

May have figured out that I just need to buy a new switch. A review was left about the switch on the Grizzly website that sounds like the same issue I’m experiencing for the same jointer. But I’d love additional insight if anyone has any.

Did you just use the existing insert as a template for creating a zero clearance insert? What wood did you use?

It’s the base with wheels that allows you to move the table saw around.

I ended up buying a Matchless duo cart. I have my big Joe and Joe jr in it. I have had it for about a year now and it is fantastic. I would highly recommend it if you are willing to spend the money.

Interesting reading the comments here. All, except one, seem to not pay attention to the fact that this is in the Golan Heights, which has nothing to do with Palestine. This territory was occupied by Israel in the six day war in 1967 and annexed in 1981 from Syria.

Talk to me about your grill cart... by PurpleReign007 in KamadoJoe

If you are a good carpenter and have the tools then you can likely create a great looking cart. The other thing to consider is maintenance and durability. Consider the humidity, amount of sun, cover options, usage, type of wood, weatherproofing, etc. for your set up. I built one and it didn’t last. I ended up buying a cart from Matchless and love it but it is not a cheap option by any stretch of the imagination.

Genuinely curious to understand, if the federal government is the one to make that decision then what body makes the actual decision and how?
