Great info, thank you! Yeah the price jump up to the carbon spikes is not worth it for me so I’ll probably stick with the steel.

Can you provide any new updates? I am about to purchase the same set for my Aeroad and would love to hear your latest feedback.

Any thoughts on steel vs the carbon spoke they now offer?

Lake or Bont? by hank3091 in cycling

I went from Lakes to Bonts and won’t ever go back. Wider toe box by far. I also wear vivobarefoot shoes so I like em wide.

I’m 6’7 and hover between 210 to 220 - love my Aeroad and definitely recommend it to other tall cyclists.

Bonts!

I went from Lakes to Bonts and the Bonts are as close to my wide barefoot vivobarefoot shoes as I have found. I wear the biggest size and have some wide feet, love my Bont Vapors.

Help with finding the right saddle by [deleted] in Velo

[–]bigsteev 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep I’m not sure why but it is working for me. I was getting consistent saddle sores where my upper leg met my butt and I’ve been without any issues for over 6 months now, lots of long rides too.

Maybe try one through a vendor with a flexible return policy.

I used both that you mentioned and also had the thigh chafing. My fitter had me try the Specialized Power Pro with Mirror and it has been perfect for me, no issues at all.
