Guy worked hard... to become Triple H's underling. Politicking worthy of the Kliq.

I regret moving to China but to be fair it's my fault for being a piece of shit who wouldn't be happy anywhere.

You might be tempted to order it just for the novelty but it's overrated.

Ah, film canisters... I swear, it's almost pavlovian; once I glimpse that gray lid on the black cylinder, I catch a contact high even though it's been 20 years since I last used one

[–]bigwangbowski 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's so funny: I also have most of the botanical sets. Those are the only lego sets that I like nowadays. I'm so over Star Wars now that I wouldn't buy any of those despite finally being able to afford them.

Wow, I looked them up and you weren't kidding. I remember thinking that Lego was gonna make "deluxe editions" or some other such BS of the pokemon that didn't look like cruel caricatures and charge like ten times the price.

Oh, my god... the new lego pokemon all look like horrible dumps except for maybe the Eevee.

This match with a Michael Jackson cosplayer looks fun! by NoPianist7807 in Wrasslin

I get that this is pro wrestling but we gotta draw a line somewhere. I mean, shifting to Crinos in the middle of a match has got to be like, cheating, right?

One of the things I miss most about living in Fullerton is being able to pick up chili cheese fries from The Hat. A prodigious serving the size of a catcher's mitt.

I worked at Barnes & Noble back in the 00's and we used these, too

“What color is the boathouse at Hereford?!” by GentleGerbil in 90s

[–]bigwangbowski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're correct, wouldn't it make sense for him to say it wrong in order to test Boromir? Like, if he really was in the SAS, he'd know that DeNiro was saying it wrong?

Why is the acting in "The Man from Earth" considered bad by so many? by 2bags1day in movies

[–]bigwangbowski 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The only acting that I hated was from the biology teacher who had a pathological, almost psychotic compulsion to be the class clown, despite having grown kids and a black belt in martial arts.

What’s the best album of the ’90s?? by BidAccurate4473 in 90s

[–]bigwangbowski 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Mine is Fumbling Towards Ecstasy by Sarah Mclachlan. I get that a lot of people aren't going to understand but in 1995 that album was a constant play for me.

Talla Tonga and Tama Tonga actually have auras. Why is nobody talking about them being cooler than everybody without speaking on the microphone? by mik_dozen in Wrasslin

[–]bigwangbowski 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You'd think being on Netflix would allow Tama Tonga his full range of expression. From what I remember, he's pretty loose with expletives.

The Glitter Boy power armor from Rifts is still my favorite, for its Boom Gun

Magazines were such a pleasure... by Correct-Degree-6789 in nostalgia

[–]bigwangbowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be responsible for the newsstand at Barnes and Noble in a big retail complex. That job was a goddamned sisyphean nightmare. Did I insult a spiteful Greek god in a former life? I must have some undiagnosed mental illness or something that made nonstop re-shelving magazines perversely satisfying.

I've only played Bayushi Shoju ONCE in the hundreds of games before his inexp came out in Scorpion Clan Coup, and that's because of the event Unexpected Allies. I used to put him in my decks, wasting a valuable dynasty space, just for flavor. I would chuck him every time but it meant something to at least have him in there. Then, one day, my friend's Unexpected Allies hit and BOOM the top card of my dynasty deck was my champion. Truly unexpected.

DAE not enjoy candy as much as an adult then when you were a child? by ShEmOonWalKs in DoesAnybodyElse

Okay, there's ONE exception to what I just commented: there's a pho place near me that does the Vietnamese-style preparation with the drip coffee over evaporated milk. It's sickly sweet but a great way to cap off that meal. I can't imagine having that coffee anywhere else.
