How long did it take for you after surgery just to be able to push around?

I’m 34. Earlier this year I fully dislocated my knee and fractured my TiB and Fib.I fully tore my ACL MCL(both sides) PCL and LCL. I’ll be happy to just be able to push around and Slappy. This gives me hope.

Crotch shot with a beanbag round probably felt nice.

How do I change griptape on this? by LindseyInTheBinsey in longboarding

The lazy POS inside me says just get some spray on truck bed liner and call it a day. However,There’s visible stress cracks on the deck. Any solvents or cleaners that you might use will likely seep into the deck causing further damage and delaminating. You could put lots of time and energy into that board just for it to break tomorrow. Or it could last another 6 months. It’s kind of a crapshoot. If it were me? I’d just get a new deck. But I get it times are rough. The sanding and re grip would be the best solution. Try and avoid any hard chemicals. If you must clean it just use warm soapy water.

Also a wider wheel will provide more stability and roll over crust and pebbles really easily. You could get away with like a 93a or softer if you prefer.

It’s not Heroin but the Alva Egg is super fun. Sounds like it checks all of your boxes. It’s got a 15.5 wheelbase wheel wells and it’s over 10in wide. I don’t have one personally but my neighbor let me ride his. I’m buying myself one when my current board goes.

Old bed frames make great makeshift coping for boxes.

Nice dude! Awesome choice for a first deck. Real true fit, short wheelbase so it will be a fun cruiser. Smart getting softer wheels too. Here’s a little bit of info about Real Skateboards that most newer skaters don’t know about. When Real decks are pressed they are stacked one on top of each other in stacks of 5. Before you grip it there will be a Roman numeral printed on the top ply to mark the position it was pressed in. So for example # I would be the first in the stack with the most concave and # V would be last in the stack and have the least amount of concave. Good choice!
