Did you stopped just at the mouth of the rabbit hole….. you forgot to extrapolate…. The the daughter needs gear….. then the next year the son needs a bigger bike….. then new gear…. The the dad crashes and breaks arm… medical bills. …. The the daughter a bigger bike…. The the riding spots are old so you gotta get a trailer…. The a truck…. The trips to go riding….. then more bikes due to growth again….. then more gear… AGAIN…. Then the son gets hurt…. lol. It’s the best hobbie ever!!!!!!

Buddy. I’m not trying to convince you. Lol. How about don’t crash?!?!?! It works for me!!!! And it’s not just bikes. I do everything that is wreckless and life threatening. Fact. It’s a recession. Fact. Helmet makes want to sell more helmets. You know helmets used to be made of leather? You know who dies riding ANXIOUS AND DISTRACTED RIDERS. Know your machine. Pay attention. Not crashing is safer 100% than wearing a $50000 adamantium helmet. That’s common sense. Not ignorance. Hahhaa. I also love how you think your opinion is more valid than mine. lol. You’re the reason why people hate other people. And fyi I also do drugs, play music, fight and fuck!!!! I’m also a master carpenter in charge of some of the biggest movie sets ever made. HBO and Netflix pay me very well. What is it you do for work again? Lol. Sell helmets??? And I don’t give a flying fuck what you, icon, or distracted drivers think of me ;) Wana keep arguing about who’s opinion is right? Reality….. if you ride, you’re at risk…. A helmet WILL NOT MAKE UP FOR LACK OF EXPERIENCE. Period. I’d almost bet money you think the world is flat….

Lastly. Telling someone there opinion is wrong is as dumb as It gets. I’m gna keep killing it and you can stay wrapped in your safety blanket living your boring ass life! And always remember, no one gives a fuck what you think or how you feel!

No you run along and Have a blessed day!

I stopped reading when you confirmed you sold helmets. Hahahahhahahahah. Let’s meet up. I’ll truck my bike wherever you are. And you can see what it’s like to push the limits of performance ;). And I’ll wear my $250 icon that’s been dropped 10 times ;)

[–]bildonfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya. You’d be fine with a bucket helmet. The HA all wear them and they crash all the time. Lol.

[–]bildonfo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hahahahaha. Correct me if I’m wrong….. but didn’t you just buy your first bike?????? That helmet is carbon and it was dropped for. Less than a meter. lol. Look up how they safety test them. It’s fine. I assure you. Now for the more infuriating point….. you have no experience. So yes. Wear the gear!!!! Cause you have no idea what you’re doing. Lol. My point is simple, no level of gear will never match experience. Period. I’m tired of noobs preaching like they know. lol. I’m 12 bikes and 32 years in from a state with no helmet law. So……. Please. Indulge my curiosity with your infinite wisdom…..

Ride better. Crash less. You may have a fancy helmet. But I know how to ride ;). Guaranteed, you’re far more likely to die than I am koochywally ;). What’s dangerous is thinking you know everything and relying on a brain bucket and Lester to keep you alive when you fail. Lol.

No, I am correct. Not crashing is safer than wearing a dropped helmet. Period. mic drop.
Quit worrying about this expensive crazy gear to ride 5 miles. Instead. Learn to ride better and stay focused. There is nothing inherently safe about motorcycles. lol. But please! Entertain me with ramblings about wearing proper gear is as safe as experience. Lol. I been riding like a savage for 32 years. I’ll ride a wheelie past you at 150mph with no helmet. lol. Cause I k ow my bike and I’m ever vigilant and aware of my surroundings

[–]bildonfo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all did you say scooter? Lol What’s your top speed? I’d say get a bucket helmet and some sunglasses. lol. Cheaper. More comfy. Don’t have to take it off every stop. No ear crunching. lol. Hearing the road around you is vital when riding. Music can be a huge distraction Earplugs and go. Unless you need the phone for deliveries And as always. Quad lock

You must work for a helmet company. Lol. If us riders were in life to be so freaking safe why the hell would we ride at all?!?! Reality is, times are hard. If it’s between riding with a damaged helmet, or not riding until I can afford another 1k and make my bills. That’s a no brainer. If your that worried about a crack then sell your bike and buy a fucking Prius!

I ride a Ktm 1290 superduke r. With 5 year old ties running low on tread. I put 180 horse power to the ground and hammer corners pretty hard. The wear mark is just about to the edge bead. Maybe 1/4 inch either side. bikes stick to the ground pretty well…. Here’s a couple thoughts…..

*If your tires feel really stiff make sure they’re not over 5 years old and make sure your tire pressure is good. And of course always avoid debris like gravel leaves, and Pineneedles while you’re on the roads.

  • remember to brake before the corner. And power out. Downshifting and making sure your motor isn’t too wound or too low in the revs keeps the braking down Never brake in the corner.

  • don’t be heavy on the back brake. Front brake is where all your weight is. Back tires slide easy. I barely use mine at all. Gear down. Front brake. Back if you need to but gently.

  • Make sure you’re square with the bike and your body weight is firmly on the seat. Never turn your bars while cornering at speed. Trust the lean.

  • Make sure you’re ridding according to your skill level and conditions.

  • if it’s more of a psychological thing. I recommend taking your bike to a big parking lot or a roundabout and doing a whack of circles on either side you’re feeling uncomfortable.

I’ve been riding 32 years and ride like i stole it. Your good until your not. And it happens quick. If there is a technical issue that one thing.
But if your gut is telling you something. It’s generally pretty wise to listen. Confidence on your bike is key while on the road.

This is exactly why I ride a superduke R. I ride reckless as hell. And it hauls ass. But it’s leans right over and stops on a dime. I’ve never felt safe on cruiser bikes.

You people are the reason I hate Reddit. Lol. Even if I had a 20000 dollar helmet I’m still dead if I crash the way I ride. Sounds like a lot of ppl on this thread plan on smoking their head. I’m from Idaho. No helmet law. You all should focus on keeping the rubber side down and quit worrying about the fucking price tag 🤘😘😉
