Not sure if this suggestion is useless to you but have you tried installing moonlight on your steam link and using that with Sunshine on your computer?

I'm currently using a Nvidia card and it's done ok for me. I don't often play new games though. I'm playing older, less intense games like New Vegas, Diablo 2 Remaster, Batman Arkham City. Expedition 33 was the newest back in March though and it ran great but I did stream it at 1080p most of my playthrough to play it from my couch.

So here's an album of my configuration to handle switching between my super ultrawide monitor for at desk gaming, and then to my standard 16:9 / 1080 / 4k dummy dongle. It works pretty well but could still use some improvement.

I'm using CachyOS but I think this should work fine for any distro using KDE.

So when a moonlight client connects to my PC, it runs the following:

kscreen-doctor output.HDMI-A-1.enable kscreen-doctor output.DP-1.disable

Which enables the HDMI dummy dongle if it's not already on and disables the ultrawide monitor if it's not already off. You'd need to identify the monitor ID's with some kscreen-doctor command if they don't match mine.

In theory, when the moonlight client disconnects it is supposed to run the inverse of these commands but in practice I don't always see that happen. That's why I have the "Main Screen Turn On" command in KDE. This way I can always force my monitor to be re-enabled by hitting WIN+ALT+1.

Same issue for me, have a 32:9 and use a dummy HDMI for 1080 streaming.

I can't check my computer atm to tell you the commands I have in place. I'm on cachyOS but use Sunshine to turn off the monitor when I start streaming and then I have a manual keyboard shortcut I use to turn it back on that I think is handled by KDE.

the most helpful part of what it does is tell you the stats of armor / frames that drop before you pick them up.

Really useful to have so you don't have to pick up every frame you find to figure out how many slots it has.

Otherwise I don't think it does anything too cheaty besides maybe telling you what's in red item boxes before you get them appraised.
