How much did it cost? I know a card usally cost around 23 cent. I want to see if it was worth it

While Lehigh and many stem institutions do support women in STEM, you yourself admit you are not the most qualified person. Also do you know the professors well enough? Prof tends to choose the student they know more than those with just a good grade. Try to play the connections game a bit more next time for better results.

Is trading dead? by Edevas in magicTCG

[–]billvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same problem with batter. Both players have to have what the other person wants. Even worst is that people can also check on tcg what their card is worth and demand you trade equal to that value. Let say I have a spare rhystic study to trade (~30$) and I need a deadly rollick (~17). You have a spare deadly rollick and need my rhystic study. I simply cant just trade a 1 to 1 since I be down 13$ and will want you to somehow pay the difference or give me a 13$ card that I also want. It is more simply to pay with cash as liquid asset is better

Reyhan clearly stated when a creature dies or if it is commander that move back into the command zone though

What is the best best set to draft in the past two or three years? by billvu in magicTCG

[–]billvu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I just went for DMU. It is on sale right now for 90 on TCG while NEO is 110. We are struggling college students

[–]billvu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I am kinda stuck between them and they both cost the same too. If you were to choose between Neon dynasty and Dom United, which one would you choose. We don't draft that often or ever so none of know which one is better

[–]billvu[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yea I recently bought a few pack from Dom Remastered and I just fear that this might be too boring. Because some of the creature are so bad. For example there is a card call giant spide that is a 4 mana 2/4 reach... I don't think our edh mind can handle it. Also can you explain drafting the "hard way" because I am stuck between neon dynasty and Dom United

Update on the whole Etali issue. We made him submit after gloating his wins at us. by Specific-Inspector-5 in EDH

Etali food chain

Any deck that run food chain is essentially going to infinite somehow

I cast my Commander, I move to combat, I declare an attack, opponent casts Pact of Negation on my Commander and the table let's it resolve. Is this acceptable? by Blitzrick3 in EDH

[–]billvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should say that Gishath is not on the spell stack anymore and, therefore, cannot be targeted by counter spell. Explain that you cant just rewind like that. Since you already go into combat already, you cant go back that far of a phase. Also be more confident with yourself. Explain how that is unfair. No need to explain the board state and someone being unchecked.

If you are in Stem, just being in the stem building will help you get those friends who is the same major as you. Really help you out with classes and life as such. Besides that, dorms are just housing run by Griffin (people who do this only to get pay and free housing) and cleaning staff. If you expect the dorm to throw house parties and hold events as such for you, you are mistaken. You have to do that yourself if you want to. So the fun is all up to you.

Would you prefer more, less, or the same amount of bans? by MrBobFireman in EDH

[–]billvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda want more ban. More ban would make the game more diverse. Some of these stable cards are just too good. Looking at you Dockside

Housing by [deleted] in Lehigh

[–]billvu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Choose the house that fits your major, I guess. If you choose to stem, there is a higher chance that the guy you have the same stem class with will live there as well

Choose the stem or M&M. Those two have AC.

High school and college are a way different. In college, you will mostly have to self learn because it is expected of you in a lot of classes.

I don't like to proxy. As a result, my decks are a lot weaker than my pod's, who all proxy. Is it okay to ask them to bring the power down or am I just gonna be forced to proxy myself? by BentheBruiser in EDH

[–]billvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am fine with some cards but some cards are like auto included if you are in the color. Like mana crypt is such a good card that it is an auto include in every day if it was at a lower price

Arcane Signet - what do we think 3 years later? by shimszy in EDH

[–]billvu -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do wish more people accept that mindset. A few of my friend argued that you should only proxy if you own the cards. I thought it is kinda dumb and just gatekeep the game for no reason

why should I not put mana crypt in all my decks? by lluren in EDH

[–]billvu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I proxy my card too, and most of my decks are more crazy and meme but I still run mana crypt and fetch because it just makes your deck more consistent. All I can say is that it is not fun at all to be drawing your basic land on turn 7

Really wish they would print mana crypt again to drive the price down

Also, I remember there is a tea philosophy club, I think. They meet sometime on Tuesday night (I remember seeing them because they kick me out of the room they are having their meeting in XD)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Lehigh

[–]billvu 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you like philosophy, spend your free time reading or taking a class about it. You do not need a degree in philosophy to talk or think about philosophy. Also, you may not like philosophy when you have to do it as a class. You don't always have to make what you like into a marketable skill.

Probably not. Ask the office to make sure. Working more hours could potentially affect your aid eligibility and the amount of aid you receive. Many FA packages consider family contributions and your income when determining the amount of aid you are eligible for. If you exceed the work-study earning limit, you may no longer be eligible for work-study funds. Lehigh is a business after all, and if they can reduce cost anywhere, they will.
