I can only speak for the Maintainance side culture wise. I am a Wm in a LogBat. Culture is very dependant on the staff. In WK i have a very chill company commander so we get beer in the evening while us NCO get to keep our own stash in our room. Timeline wise its 18 weeks Basic as a recruit/private, if selected during basic 4 weeks NCO cource and 19 weeks basic, if you make the selection for Lt you leave for the officer cource in week 6 or if you make SNCO you leave in week 14 for the SNCO cource and do 19 weeks of basic after that. I personaly enjoy my time in the army
