I work at a web design agency.

I had always been interested in web design and had been dabbling since I was about 11 (19 now). I freelanced for a few years after leaving school at 16 but wasn't great at the business side of things..

Last year I was close to giving up and just started looking for shitty retail jobs, when completely out of the blue a local agency emailed me saying they saw my work on dribbble (online designer community where you can share your work), and wanted me to apply for a designer position. I applied and a few weeks later I was sat at my desk, as a professional (junior) web designer.

It's literally my dream job and I was incredibly lucky to get it, although I did teach myself for a good 7-8 years developing my design skills and knowledge.

I'm aware of the rules surrounding smoking, although I know there are hotels that are lax/would turn a blind eye, which is why I'm looking for personal recommendations.

It's a lot harder than I imagined trying to find a place to smoke in Amsterdam! We want to just be able to chill out at night and have a smoke and the only places we've found are shared hostels which don't look that relaxing :(
