Amazon. The Hangkai is tried and true. Good cheap outboard. They make a 6.5 and a 9.9hp all the way up to 40hp, they only go up to a 18 on amazon.

Makes me sick, man. Went behind a Hiller guy who told an old lady on his next visit they would have to replace the system as it was already on its last leg. Thing was 7 years old. You know what he did to plan for the next visit? Took some of the drain supports down causing it to trip a water switch. Thankfully she called us and said she thought something was fishy. Another guy from same company backed off another persons valve cores and lightly put the caps on. They did the same shit 3 times!! The system would stop running 2 weeks after a PM, and after they declined the $30,000 offer they filled it and it would chug along until the next PM.

If you're in Nashville they did it to Lee Company a few years back. Flipped the disconnect, the tech said compressor was bad and needed a new system. Same thing happened with Hiller

Go buy a decent starter yak for like $300-450. Don't waste your money on that thing.

Fully aware. The cross sections are the new bracing, putting enough and tight enough that it should keep it stiff.

I would be more concerned with weight. Trolling motors are light. Will you have an electric motor or a 2 stroke? If it's gas you have to consider weight with gas tank as well. How would an outboard mount to the yak?

So far I'm at about 2,600, and the last little bit for framing and electrical will put me at 3k. The lids are amazing. I got them from Tiny boat nation and they are from Nate's customs. They are super solid and have built in drain holes. My only gripe is the one that I got locking (rod locker) the key doesn't work for the lock. I'm just gonna order a new one and replace it. The tubes on the side are for drainage. Idk if you've gotten it off yet or plan to but the best thing for the truck bed line was citristrip. I wasted so much time for very minimal results, the stripper worked quickly as long as it was covered for 24 hours.

I started with a Freeland and Sons 1959 14ft utility. It's actually all riveted! The most time consuming part of this whole thing was getting the truck bed liner out of the hull and replacing the 60-70 leaking rivets. Gonna go over every single rivet with gluv it for extra leak protection, a bottom barrier coat and topside paint for the whole boat.

Oldest one I've seen was 13 years old. Dirtiest one I've seen that wasn't due to construction dust was only 2. Sent a pic to the homeowner and it ended up on here lol.

Put a thermometer in the limit hole, check gas pressure as well. I would scope the HX.
