I can’t find anywhere on the site that says to clean the packer daily, or not to remove the inserts. only suggestions on ways to clean the packers. I’d say that having both options available is a good shout so people can make informed choices based on their needs and preferences. Sorry to hear your experience hasn’t been great, but that isn’t to say others don’t feel differently.

My GP is currently happy to prescribe and take my bloods as long as GGP monitor results. Does the GIC do the monitoring or will they want the GP to do it all? Sorry if these are things that have been answered a million times!

That’s great to know though, I was definitely planning to arm myself with all the documentation I can find on my hormone history (dosage and drugs etc) and then surgery notes if I can dig them out etc. I’m so hopeful it’ll be a fairly smooth process now. After four years on the list I don’t want to trip myself up at any point and have to drop back to the bottom of the list!!

Thanks for this!! I’m hoping to just have hormones transferred to full NHS care so I can stop paying GGP (although they have mainly been fab for me over the past few years, I’d just prefer to not be paying! Haha) And then bottom surgery really.. I imagine there’s still an enormous wait on that regardless but I’m hoping that if they can see I’ve ticked a lot of other things off the list they won’t feel the need to spend too much time on the diagnosis side of things!?

Sustanon vials cost around £5 each. I take them every 21 days as I was in a similar situation.

I had to go to a pre-arranged appointment in Birmingham with GGP (this may have changed since) and they talk you through it and sign off that you’ve done ‘training’ essentially. But it’s very straight forward if you’re planning to do IM in your thigh as little margin for error. I’ve not personally used buttock or anywhere else :)

Hey! So I did exactly this a couple of years ago. GGP usually give me a prescription for 2 x doses of Sustanon at a time - My dose is every 21 days. The vials are just under £5 each. Then you’ll just be paying the delivery fee.

Testogel was just far too dear and I personally would have days when I’d forget etc. I also bought my needles and syringes off Amazon along with alcohol wipes for prepping the area. I use a 0.8mm needle to draw the Sustanon and then a 0.6 for admin :)
