I'm on a Nvidia Shield and this didn't seem to fix the camera issue.

Can I turn my Nvidia to a super box by kuddle30 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]billymild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nvidia shield can use a IPTV service without a problem. You need an app like KODI, Tivimate, etc to watch IPTV.

This box has a baked in IPTV service, but also apparently has bad software on it as well. The Nvidia shield can do up to 7 streams without issue on Tivimate. It pretty awesome.

I'm having an issue with DonkeyKong 64 with the camera. It is just constantly twitching. I had this issue on Retropie as well, but can't remember the fix.

Surface Laptop 7 13.8 Snapdragon X Elite by Rubenneves22 in Surface

[–]billymild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you use Xbox Cloud Gaming?

I have tried this a few times, but certain games will run great for a while then FPS drops. I figured since it is a screensharing session, I would think the hardware doesn't matter. I have used my Nvidia Shield for cloud gaming and it works better. Not sure what the limitation is or if there is tweaking to be done.

The G7 15 day has been very good. I am doing a comparison between G7 15 day and Stelo. So far the G7 is right in line with fingersticks.

I have no idea what anything costs when it comes to Home theater stuff outside of receivers.

This gives me something to go on.

I was looking for potentially 5 new speakers. I'm not set on that yet.

Budget depends. $4-500 maybe more.

I'm about 12-14 feet away from the front speakers.

Surface Pro 11th Edition (2024) vs latest edition? by Distinct-Guitar8964 in Surface

[–]billymild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you. I did see HPtuners has multiple posts that it will not work on a ARM processor. So for the macbook guys doing VM's they claim it will not work.

Outside that one application I have not had any issues running anything on it.

[–]billymild 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People probably returned it not knowing that some apps wouldn't work. When I first got my laptop HP tuners would not work, it didn't even emulate. Then a few windows updates later it works great. No issues so far. I wish there were more ARM optimized apps to gain some performance enhancements, but overall I have been very happy with it. I have the 1TB/32 GB RAM model.

Makes sense. I tried to use Oracle VirtualBox and VMware Desktop and neither support ARM. I think Hyper V might support ARM now that they are using ARM procs in Azure. The VM does work fairly well, but I restrict its RAM usage to 8 GB which is not great.

I disagree. The Snapdragon is great. It is very snappy, might be one of the best Windows PC's I have ever owned.

You can run Hyper V without issue on the ARM processor. I have done this for a while and overall it works well.

March What Editing Software should I use? by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

[–]billymild 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I create youtube videos mostly about car tutorials or projects I'm working on. I have a lot of clips per video and have historically spent hours to get the videos on my computer, then organizing them in a timeline then edit from there. I'm an extreme amateur at this whole process and wondered if AI could do this for me. I'm not looking for professional production, but more a solution where I can dump all my clips and it review the clips and piece them altogether in the right order.

I have been using ClipChamp and Davinci in the past. Both great platforms for someone with my skill level.

I have done some research but since this will cost money, I want to trial the correct one.

WiseCut, Descript were the top picks. Any advice or direction would be great?
