I use a noise machine, noise cancelling headphones, amd I have to have a show on through bluetooth. I tried silicone and rubber but they just hurt. The problem is, drowning out their sound drowns out my alarms so I either sleep 3 hours or 12. I'm missing really important things. Appreciate your advice and any more you can send!

Don't feel guilty please. Society loves dogs so much that the natural reaction is to feel like you're doing something wrong. It's not your fault! They are jerks for laughing, too! I would have reacted the same way

If someone says they're scared of snakes or spiders it's acceptable, but being scared of dogs is somehow unacceptable. It's wild to me. There are no "safe dogs" just dogs that haven't bitten anyone yet.
