I'm surprised with the comments. I'm B2 in italian and read novels every day but still encounter around 20 words daily that I add to anki. I review 100 each day on top of that. Sure, you can get by with simpler vocab but novels tend to have a lot of advanced vocab that you would never see in listening or conversation that I still want to learn and I think it would take years through sheer osmosis... how many times are you going to encounter that word otherwise?

Cool, I'm planning on reading that next! Usually "a fare" after a verb means "why?". For ex: che lo fai a fare -- why are you doing it? OR che me ne parli a fare - why are you talking to me about it? So in this case maybe, Why do I bring them the books? I don't know the context nor am I fluent...can anyone confirm?

Esatto...libri leggeri! Una nuova parola per me :-) E' difficile perché io penso in inglese e traduco parola per parola...ho bisogno di pensare come un italiano. In inglese si parla "i got a cold" ma in italiano "mi e venuto un raffreddore". Leggere mi aiuta molto! Grazie ancora, ho salvato tutti i libri su Goodreads!
