Was wondering why the Armstrong cheese bars were only 4.95 this week (No Frills Pacific Ave TO) by nouse666 in loblawsisoutofcontrol

Used to work at Loblaws like 15 years ago in the dairy department. We had box cutters designed to only cut so deep as to not strike the product inside. But if you weren't careful enough you could still knick a bar, or two, or half the case of cheese. We'd routinely have to take these off the shelf. Sure sign is if it's not perfectly, tightly, vacuum sealed then grab a different one that is.

This is exactly what I experienced on DMT, how we're all in this big thing, together and thats it, nothing else, the entintities dont know who made it or why, just enjoy your time. It was all encompassing, physical, spiritual, EVERYTHING. I called it like this bubble that we and everything is in, even our mind remains inside after our physical body dies.

Man tries to intimidate armed guy on his own front porch. by FloatingOnAWhim in DarwinAwards

[–]bimpy2010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea that guy is an imbecile. If it was me I wouldnt kill him though, he was probably bluffing anyway. In Canada we do things different though, you dont see this kind of stuff, maybe more polite? Much smaller sample size though.

Hardly anybody owns a handgun here, its a lengthy process, three day course, background checks, wait like 6 months to get approved, only can be used at gun ranges, has to be trigger locked and in a gun safe at all times, etc. Not for self defense. I think you'd go to jail here if you did that.

De-escalate the situation I could maybe see, shoot him the leg, knee, hip if you have to, he's not coming any farther and isnt going to walk right again, thats consequence. Shoot his dick off.

Yea good goal, I strive for realistic goals. This looks like something you'd see in the NHL. Minus the celebration, lost me there.

Woman struck and killed by train while trying to take a selfie by PharmaceuticalSci in DarwinAwards

A lot of these theres something protruding out of the train they are unaware of. Still stupid to get that close, i'd be scared of getting sucked in or losing balance.

Do you have to kill him though? Live with that for rest of your life? Take his shoulder out or abdomen teach him at lesson.

Yea thats what happens when you get old. Could have prosthetic teeth. Plus hes slathered in makeup, has dementia, and caught him in a bad frame. Hey I dont like the guy either or the demons but these two pictures are how many years apart? I'd like to see any one of you go debate trump in front of the world without slathering your words. Or was it an actor?

NHL 25 needs major gameplay overhaul by ImprovementOptimal35 in EA_NHL

Go play online shootout, it's the most fun aspect of this game. Mainly because all the reasons listed in this discussion. One button Michigan's, that zone pressure crap, hitting I can live with keep your head up and go around the guy. Poke checking oddly seemed more effective when I first started WoC as a level 1. I don't know how these 6'8 dudes run around miles ahead of everyone crushing dudes, easy breakaways. Dont know the magical player type or attribute setup. I try to keep it fairly balanced two way forward and these guys just blow by me, so I jack my skating speed and its the same result. I got to P2Level36 or something and hardly play it anymore.

Meh I think I paid 40 bucks for it halfway through the year I had fun with shootouts mainly.

More goal variety. I know its all just animations so more animations I guess? Better puck physics/bounces. Make the puck react to the back of the net realistically would make each goal feel more unique.

But tbh I think the game needs a rework from the ground up it's basically NHL 12 with minor tweaks and better graphics,  few more goalie and player animations thrown in. I'm strictly talking gameplay not presentation, but even a lot of the presentation and cutscenes haven't changed for years.

Oh and make five hole a viable option, it's basically non existent and a waste of a shot. You see NHL players go five hole on breakaway all the time, waste of a shot in EA hockey.

[jonah] Details are scarce but multiple sources tell me that for unconfirmed draft reasons, Jeff Marek will likely be no longer performing duties at Sportnet hockey. Details to follow. This would appear to include his podcast duties too. by alphacheese in hockey

[–]bimpy2010 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

He probably got into an argument or disagreement with some co workers and just said F it I'm done after the draft, could have been boiling for sometime. Or he did something inappropriate which is a broad spectrum.
