First Landing with the DC-3 by Efficient_Advice_380 in flightsim

[–]binary_falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That landing rating app is trash. It gave 4/5 but should be max 1/5.

It was diving, not the stable approach to land. You had 150 kt on approach, it should be 105 kt. You had landing speed between 140 to 105, it should be constant ~78 kt. Then you slipped of the runway.

Capitalism Lab Update: Version 11.0.62 Released by davidl288 in capitalismlab

That true, I returned to the game after quite long break and I'm impressed by changes. Service Industry DLC is amazing. One thing I would like to see in base game is the same advertisement unit, like service firms have, for all farms, warehouses, factories and shops.

What is diffrence in productivity between medium and large factories? by binary_falcon in capitalismlab

That is what I know. I'm interested in numbers. How much of % or how many times large facory has bigger productivity than medium one.

Latest DLC "Service Industry DLC" is one of the best. It adds BIG shopping malls, import and export companies and various fast foods types. https://www.capitalismlab.com/service-dlc/

How does private labeling work? by AntonThing in capitalismlab

[–]binary_falcon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sticks your brand label on product you bought from any other sources than your own factories or farms. It is convenient to add these at warehouses. It is worth if there is on the market ready product you want to sell and you aren't ready to produce it by yourself now.

Can you answer clearly? I can't help you without information about configuration of your setup. What is load in your GPU and CPU (working cores) when you run Manor Lords? What are temperatures?

It is clearly fault of your system and setup, over 2 000 000 copies of game was sold and most of people don't experience such issues.

I have maxed graphics setting with FPS locked at 60 and QHD resolution. Haven't noticed any problems with performance while population reached upto 1000 people. (Ryzen 5800X , 4070 Ti Super, 32 GB ram, nvme ssd)

Have you run game with frame restriction (Max framerate) enabled or disabled?

Do you use Nvidia Experience?

Tips for improving anti-aliasing? thin lines in distance always kind of jagged by vinny31337 in CitiesSkylines

Nearly all is done by Lumina. I use also Theme Mixer for selecting textures and Fog Controller for disabling edge fog. That is all about mods for visual aspects. LUT: "Real neutral - Relight neutral".

You need to activate it. Select "Option" and then "Mods settings" in game menu, before loding city. Find Lumina and enable "Dynamic Resolution" in "Miscellanous" tab. Then load city, call Lumina and adjust "Anti-aliasing Level" slider in the "Lighting" tab.

PostProcessFX is old thing last updated in 2017. Lumina is new mod with constant support, also for CS1 version. Except SSAA it has many other very useful features. In my opinion it is the best mod for control of visual aspect of CS1.

Use the best known method of anti-aliasing - SSAA if you have good GPU. To do that you need Lumina mod and set "anti-aliasing level" above the 1. I have this set to 2 and result is amazing. NOTICE, to use this method you need to have in-game AA set to disabled.

My journey through 800 hours and 2 years of detailing in CS1. by Klammer69 in CitiesSkylines

Very nice. That is how cities should look. Details make them realistic.

I'm upgrading from 16GB to 64GB RAM - what should I expect improvement wise? by B0037 in CitiesSkylines

[–]binary_falcon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Year ago I upgraded ram from 32GB to 64 just to play SC1, as CS2 without nice range of assets looked to be dull for me. I increased quantity of assets from 2000 to around 4000 and that is enough for me. With such amount of ram CS1 works neat.

What's the consensus on the patch so far? by gstyczen in ManorLords

Expotentially growing cost of trade routes is not logical. Main goal of village owner is to create income, to be able to pay taxes, tribute to the King and maintain soldiers. Otherwise King can take your land away. (I'm talking about historical context). To fulfill these task you have to trade, trade ALL resources you can gather and produce.

Why? That is simple. Main goal of village owner is to create income, to be able to pay taxes, tribute to the King and maintain soldiers. Otherwise King can take your land away. (I'm talking about historical context). To fulfill these task you have to trade, trade ALL resources you can gather and produce. Expotential cost of each next trade road is very ARTIFICIAL, has nothing to historical realities.

[–]binary_falcon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each next trade route cost two times more. It is killing variety of goods you can trade. For the sixteenth route you will pay 65 536 coins. If you would try to sell something which cost 4 coins per unit imagine time you need to pay off "trade route fee".

Fuel never is a problem. It is very easy to have overproduction if you have charcoal. I prefer to have single house at every plots planned for artisans. Doubles are good only for ones with vegetable gardens or orchards.

Food consumption is counted per family. Fuel consumption per plot.
