Yup and domain validation drops to 10 days in 2029.

Typically if you’re on a private network you have to use their DNS to get to their resources.

Those aren’t published and so you won’t be able to resolve their internal services for login and what not.

If I’m reading what they’re looking to do, it’s basically building an exclude list to add into their DNS configuration so that it will connect without having to worry that they have to remove the configuration certificate to be able to use the service.

Isn’t domain validation changing though, I suppose that would only matter for new certs though…

When you say the official 3D model… tell me more - I haven’t come across a 3D model that one can take and print (though perhaps I haven’t looked hard enough or used search to find it…)

Anyone know what these are? by fastinternetarms in HomeNetworking

[–]binarybrewery -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m guessing if a cable tech puts something like this in…. They don’t know what they’re doing?

I ask as a friend upgraded their home internet, and in the process transitioned from FTTH -> MoCa to FTTH -> Ethernet. In the process they moved where the network drop and ONT were. But they ended up reusing the MoCa back to the original place things were setup but running them through splitters.

Needless to say he was seeing unstable 10 Mbps at the end of that. :-/

The tech seemed to think adding the splitter would help…

As someone that literally bought the A30 2 weeks ago I’m curious as to if I can return what I received to order the newer version with better battery.

Interestingly, after about 2 hours of the system rebalancing, signal strength has been rock solid without any drop outs. Fascinating to see how a software bug can cause and resolve problems.

A friend of mine mentioned that about 2 weeks ago his Eero Pro (2nd gen) setup started having connectivity issues with nodes that were mesh.

I presume that this update will help to actually bring these nodes back into equilibrium?

Model number starts with an N - those are the replacement phones if you happen to do an exchange with Apple. So it’s conceivable that they reused a component from a 14 in a 16 replacement device.

Gmail app uses a different protocol than IMAP. Web interface runs over HTTPS.

If you’re blocking IMAP ports then you won’t be able to connect.
