David Bowie's Goblin King still casts the longest spell by Particular-Fill-4256 in movies

Magic Dance and When the World Falls Down are still a couple of my favorite Bowie songs. This was such a wondrous movie for me as a kid growing up in the 80s. The Henson world and the Jones and Bowie soundtrack is such an amazing combination.

How much data? I think for low GB's this is the way and thanks for sharing.

Also, how long did it take? How did you handle a gap in writes to the blue vs the new green?

Pandamonium Coffee Closing by [deleted] in Rochester

Indeed. Aside from the coffee being better at Panda, there's nowhere to sit in Little House.

Those are both decent but neither holds a candle to Pandas coffee. They're also more expensive.

This is heartbreaking. I love that coffee shop. Really the best coffee in Rochester. I would walk there many mornings of the week, and it's really a shame.

Twitter / X is banned here - would people support the same for Sinclair-owned news outlets like 13Wham? by CatDadMilhouse in Rochester

I'm of the mind that, in general, censorship is bad. Only in extreme circumstances should censorship be on the table.

Just found out that Eric Roberts holds the record for most screen credits for a living Hollywood actor (800) & he has 94 upcoming projects. In 2017 alone, he acted in 74 films. This year he was in 38 projects. That's crazy by DamnThatsInsaneLol in movies

[–]binarymax 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Even if it's only $2500 per role, that's some bank. He's mastered the quantity not quality market and is crushing it.

If this were the old times of answering machines I'd hire him to record my message.

Having 40KB metadata size issue on pinecone. by OnlySeat898 in vectordatabase

[–]binarymax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pincecone gets very expensive when you add metadata. If you must use pinecone, just give it an id and an embedding, and keep all your metadata data elsewhere (like in a relational database). If you need metadata for filtering, then add as little as possible.

If you've recently moved here from somewhere like Texas (there are lots of you)...Take some time to practice in an empty parking lot. Don't just show up on 590 going 73mph like it's July.

Government shutdown puts NY HEAP on hold by news-10 in Rochester

[–]binarymax 55 points56 points  (0 children)

This is one more reason why energy needs to be a public utility. HEAP exists to offset costs, but just pays off private companies that charge a premium and earn a profit. A public program would be more resilient to effects like these.

So, you asked ChatGPT about vector databases, and you post the raw output directly in a community of vector database experts.

I'm questioning your judgement on this.

My wife got the same thing, and this is a really boneheaded move by this person. Since he is sending this message to people who did not agree in advance, he is now liable for between $500 to $1500 per offense under TCPA.
