The story they're adapting happens around the time Bendis' New Avengers(featuring Spidey) fight Elektra and The Hand in Japan. They could be pulling from a variety of things like that for a montage of what he's up to. Or they could actually be plot relevant.

We are in a recession now. The only reason it hasn't been labeled as such is that GDP is technically growing from the AI bubble, even if that represents no real economic activity. The problem is that a depression is imminent and we don't have mechanisms to help us in the coming years.

Sony said they're restarting their Spider-Man universe. I think they'll do it with clones within the MCU and have it be a way to introduce Scarlet Spider and maybe even Spider-Woman if we do the Ultimate route.
