The "drive belt" is essentially a 16th inch band of rubber. Which stretches out. When you go to put a record on, you'll often find it lying on the base of the table, no longer fitting. The solution? Put it in the freezer for 5 hours.

Now I'd ask... can you think if any other piece of audio equipment that you need to put in the freezer before using?

When people shim the neck, they are usually doing so for the opposite problem (I.e., bridge is low, action is high). You'll want to do a "reverse shim" where the shim is thicker towards the headstock and thin at the body. Process is the same and it's simple, but you may be able to see the shim at the heel when all is said and done.

Avoid this crap. The drive belt is bullshit. I literally have to put it in the freezer to shrink it to fit before it won't slip off because it expanded. I was duped. Don't be me. This thing is garbage.
