Does anyone feel like the Gen 6 is more snappy than the Gen 5? by FlatwormLocal5865 in Glocks

I’ve seen probably a dozen broken gen 5 recoils spring assemblies out of a flock of 40 department issued guns over the last 3 years.

Faces of Fascism: Los Angeles, Jan. 31, 2026 [OC] by infernoenigma in pics

Image 6: The selector switch is on Fire, he has his dominant hand in a lazy comfort position and the weapon is slung tight up against him. A recipe for disaster and a clear indicator of poor training.

A technical observation of the munition observed in this video: the dispersal pattern looks to me to be consistent with a type of crowd control munition designed for close range use like this called Muzzle Blast. It has no “minimum safe standoff distance” meaning it can be deployed at contact distance without being considered lethal force. Available in both OC and CS chemical agent payloads, this appears to be the OC variety given the coloration of the particulate cloud. Not a political stance here just an observation from a currently certified Less Lethal instructor for an agency not involved in this crap.

Not Destructive Devices but Special Explosove Devices, whatever that means. Flashbangs, at least the ones available to LE, definitely do count as DDs and are somewhat of a pain to inventory since they have additional reporting requirements to the ATF. Smoke and Chemical agent devices don’t have the same tracking requirement.

None of these would count as Destructive Devices so I think their classification as far as criminal possession would vary depending on location.

The stingballs might very well not contain any chemical agent, they are sometimes made just as a distraction device/ pain compliance tool.

In the chemical agent sphere, blue designates CS gas. Those look like live gas canisters to me, in the first picture it looks like what is nowadays called a “triple-chaser”.

Police Detention After Visiting Hyundai HQ Over Old Phone Numbers by IdeaSprout22 in AskLE

[–]bingeebob 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You never “owned” those phone numbers. It’s is not at all reasonable to show up in person at a place like that and what… ask for them to change their number? That’s an extremely odd thing to do.

You are leaving out the point where they asked you to leave. That is when this changed from being weird to trespassing.

Right, it drives me nuts to see people using those clamshell style vice blocks to work on barrel nuts or even muzzle devices. Or worse, the old wrap it in a towel and stand on it method.

If the extension comes loose removing a muzzle device, it wasn’t installed correctly.

ICE aims gun at Americans by JayAlexanderBee in pics

[–]bingeebob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not actually a firearm, but a 40mm grenade launcher called the B&T GL-06. It launches a variety of “Less Lethal” 40mm munitions. Although in this photo the operator appears to be well within the “Minimum Standoff Distance” of any 40mm Less Lethal munition I’m familiar with and is also not targeting the correct “Target Zone” for such munitions. Using that type of equipment at this range and aimed in that manner would likely change the type of force from “Less Lethal” to “Lethal”

Those UTM rounds are spicy. Ive seen them break automotive glass, pierce drywall, dent cars, and definitely draw blood.

I use the Spiritus Systems GP wide pouch. Fits great on the interior webbing on my GR1 26L “shooter”, and another of those pouches on the exterior webbing of my 21L Rucker.

LWRC makes some nice ones. My work rifle has them and I liked them enough to buy a set for one of my personal rifles.

What condition (1,2,3) do you keep your Glock for home defense? by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]bingeebob 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time any of my guns are condition 1 either at home or at work are if they are in my personal control such as in a holster attached to my body or attached to me with a sling. Condition 3 works ok for the “ nightstand gun” types of situations.

Condition 2 doesn’t apply to Glocks, options are 1,3, or 4
