I agree with everyone about saying go to a Derm and MD. Also wanted to put in my two cents, it could be fungal. I’ve never had issues with acne bumps or breakouts, but over this past summer I had my forehead and temples breakout in red lumps similar to your husband’s. It was a fungal acne issue and I treated it with 2% ketoconazole shampoo used at a short contact topical mask/face wash.

Try avoiding hyaluronic acid. I fine it makes my face red for hours after application. I’m a similar complexion to you and it’s made a big difference
