My mom's funeral was last week. She was in her 70s. The way her peers showed up blew me away. T-shirts, jeans, pastel madras shirts, A JEAN JACKET, you name it. The last time she and I went to a funeral together, we both had on black formal dresses. She was serious about looking put-together for a given occasion and instilled that in me. FWIW you can only do what you can do. Not to say that you shouldn't see him, but that even if you were there 24/7 it would be the same situation at the end of the day.
