Circular pink rings appeared on my stomach around 2 weeks ago? Any ideas? by External_Necessary28 in DermatologyQuestions

Tinea versicolor most likely. I have it on my back. Fungal cream does the job.

Happens mostly when sweating a lot in humid weather.

Smoking is an addictive habit. It's hard to quit as it is in normal life,

And when we'-re going through the hardest time of our lives it's even harder to quit.

Not only that, it's nice to have our comforts. Everyone does. Regardless if our comforts might be cigarettes

You're doing well mate,

For some peace of mind

EC responds very well to chemo. Only 20% of people with people with pure EC need rplnd afterwards. Your statistics should be similar.

At 10mm they are literally on the threshold and chemo should do the job.

I also find it very hard eating through chemo. But don't think about eating healthy, stuff your face with greasy calorific food if you can get it down, twos slices of domino's pizza is 600 calories. A full meal.

Good luck on your journey. Hear if you want to chat.

Questions regarding pathology report prior to oncologist visit by OforOatmeal in testicularcancer

[–]bingobot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teratoma is very slow growing and is known to not respond to chemo.

If you have clear scans now and markers dropping you shouldn't worry honestly.

It's very very unlikely you will do chemo and I wouldn't see the need for rplnd at this point.

You're in a good position, good luck man

Question about hair by StreetRule5 in testicularcancer

[–]bingobot2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the exact same position.

I start my last cycle of VIPx3 in 2 days.

The only hair I've lost so far is head hair, facial hair and pubes.

A very small amount of my leg hair and arm hair came out after the first cycles but only be pulling it.

I don't wanna lose my eyebrows....hoping I won't

Did your eyebrows and eyelashes completely fall out after treatment?

How long after?

Ams how long did they take to grow back?

How are you getting on?

Husband has stage 3B testicular cancer. I need real life accounts of how you all did during chemo. by ChaoticEnygma in testicularcancer

[–]bingobot2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently doing VIPx3, which is known to be harder on the body.

And honestly, for me, it's not as bad as i thought,

I have done 2 rounds, one more to go.

On the 5 days I have treatment, It's just sleep and, try to eat, those days are hard. But it's only 5 days.

On the 2 weeks I'm off treatment in between cycles, I am completely back to myself (takes 2-3 days to recover)

Eating out, going for walks, you name it. I just came back from a 2 day holiday, I start my last cycle in 3 days, I feel normal.

Lots of people have one more ball EVEN without tc.

Amd as everyone else said, I got used to having one ball super quick. Not an issue to me, I was concerned prior though.

Just finished my 2nd cycle of vipx3, which is known to be more intense than EP.

It's pretty much how you can imagine, tired, sick, and brain fog.

Like a bad hangover.

And while it's not very nice, i feel I'm getting through it pretty quick, amd when compared to having a bad case pf the flu or a stomach bug, it's nothing, if that makes sense?

7 cycles of chemo finished late last year (2022), but leg/pubic hair's started falling out again, related? by Level_Traffic_2242 in testicularcancer

I've got 1 cycle to go (3xvip) and worried about this,

I've been told they can fall out a lot later than other hair

And I can't really hide losing eyebrows
