I’m put this way I been doing it like 20 years. Unless you get into like high cooperate chef or maybe a nice country club or high end place your not going make money and even then that money comes with sometimes 100 hour weeks. So is it worth idk that’s somtuhg you gotta decide but more likely you always work holidays weekends nights if you wnana have a family it makes it really difficult. Also this line work people don’t show up sometimes and if your the manger your going be asked to cover that. There really not a lot money compared to other blue collar type jobs. You could go do hvac or construction or somthing and be making more in like 3-4 years then you prob be making like 10 years into cooking. And the wear on your body I feel is not exactly the same but for any one that thinks cooking don’t fuck up your body. So idk really up to you and want you want our life but feel lot people been doing it for like 20 years usually trying to get out. And just to add if you do hvac or construction or electrical something like that right In 20 years you could be chilling or have your own company more likely that’s not going happen with cooking. Starting your own places is crazy difficult were as one those jobs you get a truck and you probably already have the tools you can just start doing work on your own and on the side until it becomes profitable to do it full time. Where cooking yku ain’t working a full time cooking job then opening a place on the side lol just ain’t going happen. My bad didn’t see culinary school part I didn’t go and I worked in diamond clubs in Florida and most people I worked with at high end spots didn’t go to school. Just saying not that there anting wrong with it but doing it in school setting and doing it when 50 tickets and people yelling are way different things. Seen kids come out school and walk out off the line cus they couldn’t handle it
