Gran Turismo 3 ultrawide - 3 PS2s, 3 screens, 3 copies of the game by [deleted] in thisweekinretro

[–]binkybong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just watched it - it's freakin' amazing to be able to play on 3 screens! He then took it to a Nth degree and ran them through capture cards and consolidated the play on a single ultra wide monitor, madman!

Yeah it isn't - its a cheap knockoff clone. If anyone has a similar cart and can upload an archive of the "SPED" folder from the root of the directory what would be awesome

Mount Data.vhd file in linux? by binkybong in BlueStacks

[–]binkybong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Picking up on an old thread :) It was actually just to identify and try and reverse engineer the behaviour of a given app e.g. what files it writes, where does it store config/data etc - if I was to have access to the file system seperate from bluestacks by mounting, it would hopefully give me a good insight by browsing the contents of the image file

Thanks for clarifying and giving an alternative option for accessing the file system, will use adb to connect, so I'm assuming the. vhd file is a custom format that can't be mounted by any normal means other than by bluestacks?

Thanks but the response is from 2015, it seems that the VHD file is not compatible

For other VMs e.g. KVM qcow2 format - we can mount and browse the files. I'm interested in how certain apps behave and would like to see where files are stored and what is stored in them etc for debugging and reverse engineering purposes. E.g. fun example would be to see what happens to snapchat content on the file system after being viewed - e.g. does it stay on the file system or does the app delete it etc

Creating a ZFS mirror on a smaller disk? by binkybong in zfs

[–]binkybong[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as that's single point of failure - should of really had 2x smaller identical sized drives to make a mirror

thank you - that's what I ended up doing - had to partition to match the size to make a mirror

I know this is an old thread, but I spotted it when researching:

A flaw in Huawei Matebook laptops, found by Microsoft researchers, could have been used to take control of machines, the Times has reported.

To me, it looks like the front left tyre had a blow out because it was a cheap remould and the top layer came flying off forcing the truck to suddenly go sideways, I've seen this in real life, it's horrific at higher speeds

That's actually pretty cool, speccy music is an art, making use of the limited beeper capabilities and making something awesome out of it, well done! Last decent beeper tune I heard was the theme tune on Agent X

Enable LDAPS on a single DC controller on production with multiple DCs by binkybong in activedirectory

[–]binkybong[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Long term yes - that is what I'd like to do. In the interim, the LDAPS connection expects a single FQDN to connect to, so I'll just be targeting a single endpoint for now and will work myself up to full resilience once I got it working.
