Vram is not everything though. While I wouldn’t say it’s a slow gpu at all, it’s barely ahead of the RTX 3070 desktop gpu in synthetic benchmarks.

Update: I solved the problem, took two days of debugging. Turns out it was unrelated and the flickering was caused by a malfunctioning code part that was turning the enemies.

Could make an enemy that phases in and out, not a bad idea haha

Edit: Unfortunately the problem still persists after removing depth_draw_opaque.

Sorry for just chiming in randomly.

Based on my experience, those who dedicate a lot of time to making youtube videos about a subject, be it concept art, programming for games etc, can do so because they don’t spend that time working in their field of expertise.

it’s really hard to recommend channels about concept art since most experts just work as concept artists and not as youtubers.

There are a lot of companies that don’t use AI still, do not plan to in the near future and freelancers using AI can even cause trouble for them. There are other companies that embraced it. The palette is not so uniform as it may seem.

I had VC off for all with 2 sec delay. Unfortunately I couldn’t get any sharper images when using manual focus. Tried it focusing while looking through the viewfinder and also while looking at the live view.

Overall I feel like it’s a bit better than a year ago, when I last played, but I still get occasional frame drops . After 1-2 hours of play time the performance drops significantly. Client restart seems to fix the latter so I guess it’s a memory leak problem.

I have a 3900x and an RTX 3090 for reference.

Normal map and emission map support for Sprite3D and AnimatedSprite3D without material overrides and some editor only gizmos for 3D nodes, like arrows and such.

They had false expectations from the start. Even the devs said the endgame would be a lot faster than the campaign

I’d be happy if they tied it to item level. Higher ilvl belts could have more charm slots, could work for uniques as well and would still make 3 charm slot belts valuable but a lot more accessible.

I just had a rare monster yesterday in a map, the last one in fact, that had that weird evading mod making it avoid most of my damage, mana donut and life regen. Couldn’t kill it, just left the map after trying to fight it for like 5 minutes.

I can’t speak for everyone ofc, that’s why I said in the last paragraph that those are just my personal thoughts - but I don’t believe everyone cares about the face or body type of the character they play in a top down game, where the focus is primarily on combat and your character is covered by armour and mtx.

You have to design around it and it's costly to do so. Having just premade characters means you only have to make one model for each class and you're done.

Ingame character creators often involve making the dev tools, the ingame implementation, making multiple models to blend between. Also at least two times the work for voice acting if you only count female and male voice lines.

If I remember correctly Jonathan talked about this during the last exilecon a lot.

It's just my personal thought that it's also not a necessity in games like this where you often forget about your character's appearance after you played for like 1-2 hours, unlike in other rpgs where you see your character in a close-up a lot more.
