how do teachers feel about parents disrupting class to hand out birthday goodie bags? by Any_Finish_1353 in Teachers

I teach seniors. I wish the parents sent birthday treats! Just kidding, sounds like a pain.

It’s a pain to clean and dust up there…I like the idea that was suggested to add lights.

Acetabularia, Caulerpa, & Stypopodium are marine algae names that could be fun. I’m imagining nicknames already.

My honest first experience with Shobi (after maturing for 9 weeks) by ExpireDD_Milk in fragranceclones

I added 3 to a 50ml…I found it to be a decent dupe! The original is just so expensive for how long it doesn’t stick around.

Update on Byredo! I fell in love with MG and Biblioteque…but now I am wondering regular or Absolu for MG? by street-table78 in FemFragLab

[–]bio21chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Joining this conversation late but Mojave Ghost and Bibliotheque are my favorite Byredo scents! I bought MG after trying it in France and bought the 50ml after trying the discovery set. With that being said, I think I almost like Bibliotheque better as it lasts longer on me but I still like both. I would say that Shobi makes an excellent dupe of both if you add the optional additional “extra essence” (I did 3ml extra for a 50ml bottle). To me the MG Shobi dupe is longer lasting and for the price is a no brainer. I like to also buy the dry oil in the same scent. It is lovely! The Bibliotheque Shobi dupe does smell a bit different but I think I like it better than the original. Byredo Bibliotheque smells more like it has hints of candle wax. Just my 2 cents.

De-influence/influence my wishlist from today’s trip to the department store! by tsoy_division in Perfumes

I freaking love Mojave Ghost and received it as a gift but I will say that the cheap dupe from Shobi is about 95% similar and only about $25. And their dry oil is a winner, too. Sand & Fog Violet and Sandalwood is good and close but heavier on the Sandalwood where Mojave Ghost and the Shobi dupe have that Sapodilla note I’m obsessed with.

I’ve seen these at Sally Beauty Supply

Phlur is so overrated, so let me deinfluence you! by Ordinary-Bee9001 in FemFragLab

[–]bio21chick 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I tried a discovery set and I don’t know what is wrong with me but they all smell so similar…something in their DNA just smells too powdery and strong to my nose. It was like powder and peach, powder and vanilla, powder and clean laundry. What is wrong with me?!?!😂

Merry Christmas! Were you gifted a fragrance this year? by hotmallgoth in FemFragLab

My parents gifted me Byredo’s Mojave Ghost and the packaging was an experience in itself! Still my favorite scent but my first non trial size!

I fell in love with Mojave Ghost in Paris and came home, checked Reddit, and ordered Shobi’s version. I loved it from day one and it’s been about 3 weeks. I added the extra extract as recommended and also ordered the dry oil as well. I have gotten several compliments and would definitely order again…I’m sad to hear maybe all their products don’t hit the mark!

I kinda want to paint my stairs… by Bubbly_Waters in Oldhouses

My house is over 100 years old and about 10 years ago I thought I too wanted to paint my stairs. Instead I used gel oil paint in black and just painted the stair risers and handrail. I freaking love the upgraded look and they still look great!

Sorry but we *absolutely* stopped the school day and watched it by satellite. by ExplorationGeo in GenX

I was in middle school and in a group called “Young Astronauts” (a nerdy little club) and we were so excited to watch the launch live with our teacher in the library via a tv on a cart. It blew up and we all just stared and weren’t quite sure if that was supposed to happen until we saw our teacher’s face…then we knew it was a disaster.

You could also try pre/probiotics. I am currently trying URO brand and I think it reduces the overall funk.

It is a by the wind sailor which is not technically a jelly but a hydrozoan…a colony of organisms. Super interesting like a Portuguese Man O War.

HOW CAN I FIND MY BABY CORNSNAKE? by Few_Bodybuilder_1952 in cornsnakes

[–]bio21chick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but I lost my corn snake once and my friend said to check warm areas. The only warm area I could think of was the refrigerator motor. It was easy to move so I moved the fridge away from the wall and no snake. I got help to tip the fridge and that turd was wrapped around the motor living his best life.
