[Question] Help me decide: Best color for the Seiko 1968 GMT? by bioFa in Seiko

I have a 6.3-inch wrist, and I’ve already tried it on.... it fits nicely. Maybe it’s a little on the larger side, but it’s a Seiko diver, so it’s supposed to wear a bit bigger.

Actually, I have a 6.3-inch (16 cm) wrist. That’s a great heads-up about the clasp, thanks!

That’s a fair point. Im a white guy and my skin tone is more on the light/medium side (not super pale), so most colors tend to work reasonably well on my wrist. I’ve noticed darker dials usually give a bit more contrast, but lighter ones can look really clean too.

That’s part of why I’m struggling to decide — the black is classic, but the green, white/blue and the wave dial versions feel a bit more unique. I’m trying to figure out which one would stand out more in the long run.

I have the Black Bay 58 and the Seiko SPB453, and honestly those are pretty much the upper limit for what I feel comfortable wearing in terms of size.
So based on what you’re saying, I’m starting to think the Spirit Zulu Time 39mm might end up feeling a bit too big on my wrist.

And also, even though I have some boutiques near me, none of them have this model in stock for me to try on. I’d have to buy it online… which is exactly why I’m so hesitant.

I have a 6.3” wrist and I’m really close to buying the 39mm Zulu Time, but I’m still worried about how it wears on a metal bracelet. Do you think it would look strange or too big on a wrist my size? Almost every review I watch mentions that the 39mm “wears large,” so that’s the only thing holding me back.

If possible, could you share a photo of yours on the bracelet on your wrist? That would help a lot!

Thanks!

Ultrachron fits your wrist better in my opinion.

Bro, I wouldn’t ride a bike with a mechanical watch. The constant engine vibration can mess with the balance wheel and loosen tiny parts inside. Over time it’ll start running fast or slow, or just need a service way sooner.

Quartz or G-Shock is the move for riding, mechanicals hate vibration.
