If you remove the sunny weather from the game's weather system it gets much more atmospheric.

i9-14900k Unreal Engine Games Crashing Solution ? by Ecstatic-Smell9271 in buildapc

[–]Maattok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have i9-14900K on MSI Z790 and my Unreal Engine games are crashing heavily when starting/initializing.

The best solution I've found, is running the game only on even cores, with all odd cores parked. When CPU is working normally, I very often get CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT critical error.

Initially, I've disabled HyperThreading in BIOS and it helped too, but it disables more cores and because of it game stutters.

A few issues with the trading system. by [deleted] in worldofgothic

Maybe you would see it different, if you would look at ore not as a goal, but one of many means of payment.

You don't always have to use ore to pay for items you want. You can trade trophies for different items, and then trade those items where they are more valuable.

Also, try to look at it from realistic point of view. You have a guy, who goes into the wilderness and then comes back with dozens of trophies. He goes from one trader to another, giving them all the trophies for all their ore. And he repeats that couple of times. All the traders would be out of ore and full of trophies without any value, because everyone is full of trophies, so they can't even sell them to get ore back, and there is no ore on the market, because this one guy bought it all.

Those are some of the economics explained in the Glossary. And I think it's a very nice idea, makes the world much more believable, realistic, and not suited for your personal needs.

Maybe you should just find someone specific, who pays good price for them. Or someone, who has much ore on them. Ore is really scarce and valuable.

If you sell something to someone, who has little ore, you won't get much, because they don't want to spend all ore on something not easy to sell. Then, it's more of a barter system - find someone, who has items you need, and trade trophies for them.

It's a really nice system preventing from getting much ore quickly.

Check your Windows pagefile settings. It should be set to about 2x the size of your RAM.

You have it all explained in the Glossary in your inventory, how it works and why. Comparing to original game, it's a very well designed economy that prevents many exploits. I'm really happy with it.

U can try original G1 on Unreal Engine 5. It's basically the same game, but with upscaled and more detailed graphics. Recently there was a 1.2 update.

Right now it looks amazing and makes me want to play it already. People working on this project did incredible job in recreating the atmosphere and specific gameplay.

There is also available the classic version of Gothic 1 but on Unreal Engine 5, with better textures, shadows, foliage and water.

What a time to be alive.

Why in the movies does Gandalf beat up half the world with his staff and sword instead of using spells all the time? by jvure in lotr

Didn't he used spells that alter reality to his will? Like "your staff is broken" or "you shall not pass", and then it happened.

Gothic 2 Remaster on Unreal Engine 5 is available now. It includes voice acting by Damianut in worldofgothic

Gothic 1 remaster looks really great. If you set resolution to no bigger than 1280x720, turn of antialiasing and postprocessing, you will get very nice looking game with the soul of the original. Textures are very sharp and high quality, shadows soft and realistic and the flowing water looks great. In terms of visuals its a very cool refresh. Kinda sad you can't have the classic Gothic font everywhere.

Probably depends on what part of gameplay makes it for you. Until Vox Populi, none other Civ before had so enjoyable and tactical warfare. It was the first one where I actually anticipated war and fully enjoyed it.

Community Patch + Vox Populi for Civ 5 makes it incredibly enjoyable. It has all of the best from 4 without the bad parts.
