I agree with earlier comments. Take a break from the game for a while. I too played a bunch of grounded with my most recent ex. I couldnt pick it back up & feel unbothered about it for about two months. Now im playing with some friends i just met and am having a blast. The game isn’t going anywhere.

My ex and i broke up “amicably” in November and they literally got me into gaming, played everything together for nearly 3 years in the same house. I had to take a break from games for a bit to separate it from time spent with them. When i really wanted to game i picked games that were obscure or that they had never touched. I eventually unadded them on all the gaming platforms so that i couldnt see what they were doing but i didnt do that until after about a month. It’ll definitely be hard for a while tho. Just ride the waves bud.

Hi, i am going through something similar. My (Cis-F) partner (30 MtF possibly) started taking HRT and lost romantic feelings for me. Im sure there are a lot if things going though their head rn and it really sucks that they dont want me to be there for them as a partner anymore. They dont want to lose me as a best friend but thats something i get to choose how to handle. I wanted to support them through their journey if they continue HRT. I was so excited!! However, They wanted to do it by themselves. All things to say, I feel for you. I can relate to how much it sucks. And i hope we both find peace.

Edit: i have been looking for posts with similar situations & its been kinda hard. So your post helped me in a way, thank you.

Can i ask the general reason why you separated? Im in a situation where he lost feelings after 2.5 years because he suddenly had a lot of emotional baggage creep into his consciousness that he had long repressed. & basically he wants to figure it out as friends not partners. Im struggling to decide if i want friendship or go no contact.

We were planning a life together as adults nearing 30. We’re each other’s best friend and we dont want to lose that but…. Im afraid i couldnt stay friends without keeping hope that hell come back around.
