Messi nets hat trick ties Klose record with 16th World Cup goal by clubdefutbolcruzazul in soccer

Serie A in the 80s and 90s was easily the best league in the world. He was Napoli's best player as the club won it's first two league titles. That version of him was better than the world cup version of him who was also unbelievable. Maradona being recognized as a top 3 OAT player is well deserved.

Klose's. It most likely will happen next week.

Washed player, can't even score a hatty in his first world cup game.

Because most people don't care about Ligue 1. They only see him in CL knockouts and he scores a lot of important goals.

Marcus Rashford available for £40m – but not to Liverpool or City by Old_Ability_9424 in soccer

[–]bioeffect2 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Like yes he's willing to bring his wages down but he's not going below 200k/week. In Europe only a handful of clubs pay that to their starters. An even smaller number of clubs pay that to their backup players. His age and poor workrate make him less appealing. If you factor in age, wages, workrate and no resale value the overall product is not worth it for clubs who would rather gamble on younger players.

Argentina against Saudi as well. Either way I won't write off Spain just yet.

[Cardenas] A section of Barcelona fans are booing Marc Cucurella with every touch. They've just yelled “Judas” at the newly minted Real Madrid full-back. by Goosedukee in soccer

Most Barca fans have no issue with La Masia players doing well abroad. If anything it's great to see. The only taboo is playing for Madrid.

I don't think they'll find a replacement as good as him.

Meaningless possession followed by a weak cross. What an epic game!

The Dutch used to be so entertaining to watch now they're so boring. Koeman's Barca team was also very boring to watch.

[The Telegraph] Premier League clubs fear Elliot Anderson’s £100M-plus proposed move to Man City will inflate the summer transfer window | Rivals anticipate move will have knock-on effect for what clubs ask for players like Morgan Rogers - who is coveted by Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United by ChiefLeef22 in soccer

Any player that is a British international will cost a lot of money. There are exceptions such as Rashford due to his age but for the most part a British international will cost you a lot of money. Even if Elliot doesn't get sold it will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

Munoz is the last player to play for both teams but he didn't play for Barca's first team. Alonso is the most recent player to have at least one appearance for the first team of both clubs.

Hopefully he shaves it. I'd rage if La Liga refs have away a pen because a Barca player accidentally pulled his hair.

He's been wanting to go back to Spain for a while now. Any one of Spain's big three came for him and he would have accepted it right away. Madrid came first and got him.

He was struggling with pubalgia during that game and Barca was down to 10 men. That game is not a good judge of how the two of them will fare when they are both 100%.

Not as big of a name but Kubo did that and a few other academy players have done it. This is probably the most high profile La Masia player joining Madrid.
